- "A Herdeira" is a Portuguese telenovela produced in 2017. Set in Viana do Castelo, a small city in the north of Portugal, this storyline features Dinis (Pedro Granger), a lawyer fresh off a difficult divorce, who soon starts getting involved with Salvador (José Condessa), a fellow lawyer, who is still in the closet.

I love Dinis mother, her vibe and energy.... So positive, I love her.
Also I am happy Salvador is starting to get it into his head that Dinis won't always be there at his beck and call
Salvador's expression at being caught snooping at 3:50 and shaking his head in desperation at 10:00 are simply adorable!

Nice Portuguese love story with very good actors. What a pity they are not broadcasted on Latin American television.
I know Dinis is frustrated with Salvador but If he showed more of his feelings, maybe a kiss or a hug, it would push Salvador over the edge to come out, all this fuss and arguing is doing is making Salavdor question things even more. Sometimes you just have to listen and take things as they are
@Dwayne Harper: Denis is showing more of his feelings to Salvador. Denis’ constant “ anger” is actually frustration, caring, like at Salvador that he won’t come out, and can’t have the relationship that Denis wants.
I had a relationship with a guy like that for 2 years. While it was not about either of us being out, we would always argue and insult each other, until a mutual friend became very sick.( cancer). One day, we agreed to bury the hatchet, in order to look after him. After six months, of helping our mutual friend, and having to do things together, we both realized we had feelings for each.
Our “ anger” was a way to hid our feelings of admiration and respect for each other. For me, I felt really vulnerable that I cared for someone so much.

@@billycarroll9153 : we are, though not a couple. Some issues got in the way. We didn’t see each other for a year after the break up, but overtime we got back to a friendship level.

i understand what it's like to not want to disappoint family and keep them happy but when you are sacrificing your well being and your own happiness in the process especially when there is pressure that is just too much bot Salvador and Carlotta don't want to be with each other but neither of them is pulling the trigger. they are not only hurting themselves but they are hurting the people that want to truly be with them and love them.
So when did Carlota find out that Salvador is gay?

La mère de Dinis arrive de faire de emplettes. La mission d'espionnage de Salvador chez Dinis est sublime et le jeu des acteurs à son sommet. Le gars jaloux qui veut tout savoir de son concurrent, celui qui pourrait lui enlever son amoureux. Sur un faux prétexte, il se rend chez Dinis pour remettre un supposé dossier. La mère de Dinis et Tina mangent ensemble et on sait que Dinis est parti à la pharmacie. Salvador semble déçu mais quelle joie à nouveau pour Salvador d'être invité à dîner par la mère de Dinis!, on le voit bien dans son large sourire, son entrain tout au long du repas où il boit littéralement toutes les informations que révèlent la mère de Dinis, à propos de Dinis. Comme il le disait lui-même à Dinis, "regarder son nom au téléphone et se sentir plus près de lui." Là, il est au cœur de la vie de son Dinis et il ne peut être plus heureux que cela en ce moment. Quelle performance incroyable encore ici de Julie Sargeant! Totalement habité par son rôle de mère campagnarde humble, franche, sans détour, vraie.
Retour de Dinis de la pharmacie. Quelle malchance pour Salvador qui se fait prendre en plein cœur de ses questions d'enquêteur! Quelle furie incroyable monte en Dinis constatant ce que fait Salvador finalement...il vient jusque chez lui l'espionner. Les deux hommes se retrouvent dans la chambre de Dinis, l'affrontement ultime, violent verbalement. Jalousie de l'un, rage de l'autre, les émotions atteignent leur paroxysme aux plus hauts degrés. Toute la justification de Salvador, qui est sa jalousie, ne peut en rien le sauver de ce qu'il vient de faire. Toute la rage de Dinis est justifiée, articulée car il voit dans la présence de Salvador et tout son questionnement à sa mère comme une enquête sur sa vie sexuelle et Salvador ne peut que battre en retraite. Il a beau essayer de faire de Amilcar un mec « style Village People», avec qui Dinis a peut-être quelque chose et semble vouloir le cacher. Salvador met en doute que Amilcar soit électricien et cela fâche encore plus Dinis qui voit cela comme une insulte à son ami. C'est réellement intéressant de faire en sorte que Salvador soit un gars jaloux et possessif, ca le rend encore plus agréable à voir évoluer et complexe dans ses excuses, pour ne pas faire son coming out. Plus la situation fait en sorte que Dinis s'éloigne, plus Salvador est jaloux de tout ce qu'il ne sait plus sur Dinis. Il a incroyablement peur de perdre Dinis. En se présentant chez Dinis pour soutirer toutes sortes d'informations sur la vie de Dinis, Salvador a perdu bêtement, il est foutu à la porte avec le compliment de Dinis qui «ne veut plus jamais le revoir.»
Salvador a tout gâché! Salvador vient de tout perdre, il le sait en le confirmant à Carlota au café après leur dispute. Plus tard en soirée, il va tenter de se consoler en allant prendre un verre au bar gay. Dinis s'y trouve pour conclure son contrat d'association dans la nouvelle étude d'avocat d'un ancien ami gay, Eduardo. La main du futur associé posée sur la jambe de Dinis, qui se fait au moment même de l'entrée de Salvador dans le bar et qui voit cela, rend Salvador encore plus jaloux, car Eduardo lui donne la forte impression de lui arracher Dinis. Dinis signe au même moment le contrat qui scelle l'association légale avec son nouveau partenaire de travail, cela ne fait qu'accentuer encore plus les craintes de Salvador de perdre définitivement Dinis, qui ne travaillera plus avec lui, qui prend de plus en plus ses distances d'avec lui et qui menace de tuer à tout jamais la relation amoureuse qu'il veut tant vivre avec Dinis.

Dinis is always so over dramatic. If he loves Salvador, than he needs to be more patient with him. Dinis show Salvador a little bit more love. And Salvador needs to decide what's better for his life: To be scared or to live his life as a gay man. Both doesn't work together...

There's no fixed definition of love. Lovers are humans capable of being jealous and angry on each other.
Dinis has nothing to 'sacrifice' where Salvador is concerned as long as Salvador continues to deceive himself and others regarding his sexuality. He obviously wants his cake and eat it too. He's straddling the fence because it's safe. He needs to choose a side and stick to it. Only THEN will he be worth any sacrifice.
