- "A Herdeira" is a Portuguese telenovela produced in 2017. Set in Viana do Castelo, a small city in the north of Portugal, this storyline features Dinis (Pedro Granger), a lawyer fresh off a difficult divorce, who soon starts getting involved with Salvador (José Condessa), a fellow lawyer, who is still in the closet.

Preciosa la historia....y gracias a las personas que participaron en la serie. Es una suerte que Portugal y España hayan dado los pasos correctos para superar los prejuicios de las sociedades de pensamiento único, familia única y hayan abrazo los derechos de todos por igual.....todos tenemos el derecho a ser felices y cada vez nuestras sociedades son más conscientes de ello. Hoy por hoy, para un gay, es un privilegio vivir en nuestra Península y servir de ejemplo a otras naciones, para demostrar que la igualdad en las libertades y derechos, es el camino para conseguir sociedades más justas y felices. Me siento muy orgulloso de ser Ibérico, la nueva cima a conquistar...abramos el discurso de la Unión Íbera....¿ Porqué no......? Démosles a Europa un ejemplo del camino que tiene que seguir.....POR LA UNIÓN IBÉRICA.
O único problema dessas histórias é que elas acabam! São abordadas de uma forma tão natural, tão romântica, tão real! Parabéns as novelas portuguesas! Amo! ❤
Personally, I had re-watch this amazing gay storyline over and over again and it feels like first time and inspired me to learn Portuguese which is similar to my native language (Spanish). Thank again for uploading one of my favorite love story ❤

I just found out that the actor for Salvador was like 19-21 during this show which blew my mind. I totally thought he was in his late 20's/early 30's.
OMG! Please don’t let this be the end. I’ve enjoyed every frame. Thanks for bringing this enjoyable story. I would love the see a full-length Dinis and Salvador video with English subtitles.

How did Salvador end up with twin boys? Was Candy the surrogate or did Salvador adopt? Seeing the last scene are they married? Don’t see a wedding band on either characters finger? I had a feeling Salvador father had experiences with men when he recollected about the deep rivalry he had with another lawyer on the steps of the court house, the look of longing in episode 20. I wished that conversation with his dad, he would have mentioned Dinis was the person he loves. Thanks Shane for translating the story of Dinis & Salvador, wished it could have been longer from the accident to the ending. Did any of Dinis friends ever visited him at the hospital? Was there a confrontation between Vicente and Salvador that was not shown? If there was , I would have loved to see the interaction between best friend Vicente and love interest Salvador. Also who is Ze Avelino illegitimate daughter name? Are you planning to do another series with strong gay characters?
I also think that the first I wanna see his wedding but the final episode the ending so good I thought that's enough 😊

What I’ve been waiting for! I’m happy and thrilled with it finally happening, and for Dinis’s parents to stay together. Salvador’s dad said he told a little lie about his heart needing surgery, he’s a jerk. That was a Big lie. The babies are beautiful. I wanted to see what became of Carlotta’s money hungry grandmother. She needed to be reprimanded.
Good for Salvador for not letting his dad be in his Life with Dinis and there children....

Great storyline, told with so much charm! I loved how Sal was representing a version of himself in the gypsy father. I'm thrilled that these coming out stories are still being told on soaps in Europe, even if the culture is generally more tolerant and progressive than elsewhere.
I worked on a soap in South Africa and, ironically, the producer felt the whole coming out journey had been done to death and the best way to represent gay characters was just to have them in the world and treat them as regular characters. As well-meaning as this might have been, it would have completely alienated the audience from the gay character's inner turmoil, created the false sense that any turmoil was unnecessary / self-indulgent and left the conservative audience comfortable in their prejudice and gay viewers feeling like the character was living in a fantasy world with no bearing on their reality.
This show circumvented the coming out story cliche by making practically everyone in the world aware of Sal's sexuality except his bigoted father (in Sal's head) and by weaving several different social issues into the story. I think it worked very well Obrigado!
PS: Salvador... Need I say more? You can build a home in thise eyes, whether you know him or not. Knowing him is probably the healthier option, tho. 🤤😁
PPS: Salvador still owes his old man a knuckle sandwich!
PPPS: The twist in the tale regarding the old man's... er... fluidity was cheeky but plausible and probably way more common than society realises. Fantastic fodder for the nature vs nurture debate! Hats off! 😂 👍👍
