This is a documentary about ARFID, in case anyone is wondering!
Thanks for this. I hope more people will watch it and become more kind and understanding towards eating disorders.
My son eats cheese pizza every single day, and his dr used to tell me he will eat when he’s hungry. I would bring his safe foods to outings or family events becuz I knew something wasn’t right. So glad I listened to myself he used to now 27 and has found a protein mix with the vitamins and minerals your body needs to supplement the lack of fruits and vegetables.
Great to hear! I eat my cheese pizza almost every day. Didn't touch my first vegetable till I was 30 and I think I turned out OK.
Excellent documentary. I was wondering if there was link with arfid and OCD because i see those together quite often ….
As both a type 2 diabetic and AFRID sufferer, it's hard to just get food off the fork and into my mouth!
I am happy that these people that don’t eat real food because they are saving many resources for my children who will eat everything, and I mean everything. They will eat like kings, and I am grateful for the ones who eat like slaves.
Oh noo! The sound goes out!
Can you double check? It seems fine to me!
@@PascarelliProductionshello! The sound cuts out around 16:45 mark for me. 😢
the sound also cuts out there for me :(
@@nadyaw4438ugh! It is also available on Tubi! Hope this gets fixed soon…
The sounds works for me. Try a different device?
So what’s the solution? How do you cure it? It doesn’t seem like there is one nor does it seem like people want to find a cure.
As someone who has ARFID, the only solution I've found is anti-anxiety meds, in my case being a low dose of Zyprexa. Granted I also needed therapy to want to eat again too, and even now I still get anxious with certain foods or eating at new places. Shit sucks.
@@coolguyman16 how old were you when it started?
@@christinajones6500 It's been an issue for most of life with how I avoided certain textures as a kid. I've probably had for over 20 years now.
@@coolguyman16 did your parents not make you eat all your foods or did they allow you to eat what you wanted?
The documentary goes over different treatment options for those who want to expand their eating, such as CBT-AR, which is hopefully going to be more accessible as time moves on.
