Hey there!
I had an opportunity to meet with an actor the other day whose real name was really simple. When she joined SAG-AFTRA, she had to add a couple of initials to it to make it unique.
It got me thinking that there are some other extremely important considerations you need to think about besides whether or not anyone already uses that name in SAG-AFTRA.

My parents *gave* me a fairly unique name (or at least the family name i inherited isn’t common, except in Berlin, as I understand it). Also, I have worked in I.T. since before the internet, so I was able to grab addresses and accounts as they came up. While it caused me some minor annoyance when growing up, as an adult I’ve been grateful for it far more than any trouble it has caused me.
