Thanks for the review. Currently have a 3 year old VW T6.1 which I will be sad to part from. Unfortunately they don’t make them anymore so looking at the Ford TC. I am looking forward to a test drive in the next couple of weeks it’s a wheelchair conversion. The large infotainment screen on the TC is too big. My first car (1992 mark 3 Fiesta) just had a radio!
We have one as a wheelchair vehicle and it’s been amazing. It’s just like a big focus to drive! The big box on the left of the boot it for the rear climate controls. Only thing I’m not keen on is the pathetic yellow headlights!
I have one Private hire 9 seater auto Lwb leather 167k in two years A great drive a fantastic minibus Reliable flexible My customers love it Already looking at the next one.
@NobbyOnCars My 17 plate did 209k before being written off by an old boy near Hickstead was £24.5k My current vehicle 21 plate has done 168k as we speak cost £27695 it was a cancelled order so the person who ordered it lost their £4.5k deposit Latest model which has a 6-month waiting time is £53k ?? Plus leather Auto As with the previous 2 they are normally a bit cheaper through Cab Direct as I am private hire I hope so Anyway I've just dropped in Salcombe on my way back to Nottingham Good review get your hands on the new shape and review that one
@abumaleeha1 I changed at 142k cost £960 Spoke to ford said 1200+ vat in 9 weeks' time FFS Had it done at a Ford specialist in Nottingham Colleague recently brought a 5-year-old 75k on clock belt snapped first week Lots of discussion with ford and the dealership they put a new engine in took Jul - September Had it going a few weeks off road again with gearbox problem
Hi Nobbs. I would be interested in this. I have looked at ford website and says from €46961....then before any options it jumps to a mind blowing €74957. Not sure about where you get to this pricing. That is a staggering €28000 difference. I would have been in the €55k-58k price bracket. Great review as always. Any chance of you doing a new Ford Ranger review.
Base spec is the 46 I think. I have a Ranger filmed since April but I had a mic tech issue and need to film some more shots of it so I’m waiting to get my hands on it again for an hour or so.
I think there might be an issue with your site of choice. I used a Ford configurator just to get an idea of the price with the specs I want and almost fully loaded except some electronic parts, it got to like 64.000 euros, so no way that it would cost 75.000 euros without any options.
Great review. Thanks Nobby! I'm renting one of these when i get to London. My concern is the rental company may give me 'or similar'... I'm going to call and find out what the 'or similar' might be, but let me know your thoughts if you get a chance please. I will have (at peak) 5 adults, 3 small kids (each needs a seat and probably 9 suitcases + carry ons. Only for two legs of the entire holiday, other than that this looks absolutely perfect!
Will the SUV Tyre Killer be out to get you?? He wants us all driving smaller yokes. I'm no snob....I just like me jammers and if I had 4 or more dustbin lids, I'd consider it.........BUT........it's a van, no matter which way you slice it. Auto box available????
@@NobbyOnCars there isnt that many transits sold as before check the facts on engine yourself look around ireland nearly all renaults for last while because of warranty
The engines in Fords do last. I had a Fiesta van and I got a 165,000 miles from it before the turbo blew. It wasn’t worth fixing unfortunately at that point but the engines are reliable
Makes sense. Great review. Brother in law, plumber, swears by the Ford Transit. He loves the drive and seating position. He does serious miles in it.
Yeah I know a fella who just had to give his back for a different brand and lets just say he is not happy...

Yeah the halogens are a bit of a letdown. Glad it’s worked for you.
Great review! Straight forward and very informative
Thanks
I think that's the best looking van on the road.

Already looking at the next one.
I can imagine you'd just keep going back for more with them.

@@eddie6921any issues with the wet belts?
@abumaleeha1

Spoke to ford said 1200+ vat in 9 weeks' time FFS
Had it done at a Ford specialist in Nottingham
Colleague recently brought a 5-year-old 75k on clock
belt snapped first week
Lots of discussion with ford and the dealership they put a new engine in took Jul - September
Had it going a few weeks off road again with gearbox problem
195K Miles had no major issues
I change oil and filter every 18k
Safety check every 6 weeks
Ok so would you have this over something like a Toyota Proace Verso?
Lovely vans and probably the most comfortable to drive but is terrifying how the wet belt can just snap and you need a new engine for 7k upto 9k.
CAN YOU FULLY REMOVE - EASILY - THE REAR BENCH?
Unfortunately Insurance companies treat these as commercial vehicles especially the 9 seaters, some insurers won't touch them, do your research first.
Plenty of taxi drivers using them anyway
They don’t they are cars , no issues with price on mine
Why can't I tow with my transit custom auto 8 seater titanium 2L
Is the Transit Torneo available with an automatic transmission ?
Yes.. more expensive but worth it in my opinion

Is this the equivalent to the volkswagen multivan (extended) version? I can't decide on which one to pick!
Kinda. The Multivan feels a little more car like.
