    The most hilarious thing about "Roadhouse" was the fact that throughout the runtime of the movie, multiple felonies (including, but exclusive to, assaults, vandalism, arson, and murders) are committed...yet the police make an appearance in only the last two minutes.
    That's so 80's action movie!

    • @chrisleebowers
      @chrisleebowers 9 місяців тому

      They're bought off by the villain.
      Any time an action hero "takes the law into their own hands" whether it's Charles Bronson in Death Wish or Batman, the idea is that the legitimate authorities are too corrupt to do their jobs. Often, heroes like that will actually fight the cops. Even heroes who ARE cops will go rogue when their department is compromised and they don't know who to trust.

    Just watched this movie with my mom. I loved after watching a bunch of B action movies, it was genuinely nice to watch something good. Shouldn't watch Family guy because I didn't realize that Dalton was such a humble dude who always ain't looking for a fight and not the crazy punching and kicking jerk Family Guy protrayed him.

    bro, i love your stuff. But , i was hesitant to watch this. I had a moment with myself saying what if Brad makes fun of this movie or this was his first watching this. You gave it the love we all have for this movie. Man, I was 18 and i tried to be like Swayze and Elliot. Fantastic tribute to this special movie. I have to watch this again with my 15 year old nephew. I think he will understand why i do what i do now. How i see the world which moving to someplace else. Movie like this reminds me why I can't transition (lol) to this new woke world.
    But i do understand now, the movie industry is a programing machine. They can take a whole generation from one view of the world to another. Crazy.

    The only thing that felt like real movie magic was that Dalton wasn´t arrested for ripping out a guys throat at his house, and moved on like nothing happened 🤣

    I imagine this exists in the same universe as Burt Reynolds’s “Malone”.
    I don’t know if I thought you’d be bigger before I met you at a con, Brad...

    The ending with every town member getting one shot in was where my suspension of disbelief completely snaps.
    If they had handguns, maybe, but shotguns? Even Tony Montana couldn’t take **one** point blank shotguns blasts before succumbing to his wounds 0_O

    Certainly timely with the remake due and the Funker’s passing.
