I love squimpus tapes, they shown the true gritty character William could have had, it's truly disturbing.
At the same time, I think his (potentially) canon motivations makes him interesting.
If you don’t know, in the books, it’s revealed that he kills in the name of science (Charlie Henry excluded. That was because of jealousy), and sees death without result a waste. He wanted to make himself immortal through remnant.

I highly recommend Marble Hornets if you're getting into analogue horror and stuff like that! It's the first horror series on UA-cam involving Slenderman, and was actually a REAL BIG part of why Slenderman became a popular internet figure. It does have about a 10 hour runtime, so it might be best to split it up between a few streams. Night Mind also did a video series explaining Marble Hornets to watch afterwards if you do end up watching it :D keep up the spooky grind Mr Manifold o7

I'm so glad you picked the Squimpus McGrimpus tapes, Jack! Many other creators have made fnaf series inspired by Squimpus, but their videos are one of the first "Fnaf VHS tapes" series and I think it deserves acknowledgement :). They did a really good job with slightly changing the lore to make it simpler and unique, but still staying true to the series (I've been a fnaf fan since the early days, around when fnaf 2 was released). Again, great video/stream Jack! Amazing as always

When you said that they never went the sympathetic route in the games, I don't think you realise that they actually did. If you dig deeper into the lore, Afton had 3 kids. 2 boys and a girl. The youngest boy was killed during an incident with Fredbear, and the girl was killed during an incident with Circus Baby. Both were Afton's creations. And as a result, he went mad from the guilt he felt as he thought it was his own fault that they died
I love that you chose the Squimpus Mcgrimpus tapes and not the Battington Redo's.
I mean it's not in offense to the guy, but the delivery of these just makes your entire body feel like a animatronic with the amount of tension.
Also, crying child was never given a name, that's why Squimpus Mcgrimpus used Joseph. The evidence only slightly pointed to Evan but it's not 100% confirmed.
Edit: Watch the FNAF Timeline by Wendigoon, and it actually helps makes Squimpus Mcgrimpus' story of William Afton more believably organized.
Yes I rewatched this vod after watching the Wendigoon timeline and it makes a LOT more sense
@@cez_is_typing Yeah. The redone ones didn't hold the story well. Squimpus Mcgrimpus had it simpler and more... gritty in its emotional toll.
@@kyrauniversal yeah but I prefer the battington ones, these hold the story more sure, but the other one feels way creepier in my mind because of the realism, it makes you REALLY picture what it’s like. The part where they describe the spring locks in the first episode sent shivers up my spine

CC/Chris/Even/Evan: died on his birthday by a 'prank' by his brother and his brothers friends AKA Michael Afton. his brother picked him up and put him into his mouth and you probably know what happened next. "Chomp" He also became the animatronic
Michael Afton: worked in 'sister location' and got guided into his death by a animatronic named Ennard. He got his organs scooped out and became a Rotting corpse.
Gabriel: Murdered by William Afton. is Freddy/Bear.
Susie: Murdered by William Afton. is Chica/Chicken.
Fritz: Murdered by William Afton. is foxy/Fox.
Jeremy: Murdered by William Afton. is Bonnie/Bonny.

I highly recommend to anyone who enjoyed these tapes to look up the battington tapes! they're remakes of the squimpus ones, but they've got different models and extra content that reeaaaally gives me the heebie jeebies

ik that you just watched the regular tape, but you should have also done battington tapes, it gives you more character models and had more of the uncanny valley effect and will give you nightmares, coming from someone who has watched them more than once, they are scary

So, there's William Afton, that's the father, and his *three* children. Micheal (eldest), Chris/Evan (I've heard both so idk), and their sister, Elizabeth Afton. The sister was killed by Circus Baby, which you can see during the mini-game that sometimes happens when you die in FNaF Sister Location!
14:14 Also, I personally haven't read any of the books, but I think the person who made the tapes (lore wise) and is talking to Micheal was William's best friend/co-worker that I can't remember the name of. I'm pretty sure this guy helped Will make the animotronics and helped him make the whole Fazbear Entertainment business, but left Will because he found out that he was a killer. Then again I could be wrong since I haven't read the books.
There's so much to the FNaF lore but I do recommend Andimotronic's video on the lore, they do such an incredible job and they make it really easy to understand--though it doesn't have the newest Sec. Br. because it was made a few years ago.

I love the whole lore of fnaf and the reason Mr.Afton killed the kids is so he could become immortal. He ended up using the remnant from the kids and got them to posses the animatronics soon after, he destroyed the animatronics and the souls got set free then got revenge by chasing him in to the safe room where he would put on the spring bonny suit and get springlocked and die. he stayed in the safe room for many years until he possessed the suit and returned when Micheal Afton started working at fazbear frights. :)
