That was really interesting to watch someone go through the process of finding a style and a colour. I haven't seen any other wig reviewer do this. Maybe do some more?? 😀
Definitely the short dark gray with darker ends at the back was fantastic on her. The colour was perfect for her skin tone and I really liked the cut. It looked so natural.
This was such a sweet video! I loved her excitement on finding what she wanted and what style/color that made her feel like herself. You were so tender, as well as,meeting her excitement and where she was in her wig journey. Just a lovely experience for one and all. Thank you and her for allowing us to share in this joyful experience with y’all. 🤗
Pam here…..the shorter cuts are for her with her shorter neck..she looked younger, lifted brighter in the Alletta. The bobs she call pulled down looked crabby dowdy
This was so helpful! You are so kind to spend the time to help Karen find a wig she likes. I lost my hair due to chemo and the local wig shop wasn't patient or helpful. I wound up watching a bunch of videos on UA-cam that educated me on wigs, what to look for, the differences in fibers, etc. I just wish I had a place to go and try styles on because they look so different on mannequins. And hard to figure out the right color. I have discovered I'm more warm toned but I like a lot of cool toned wigs. Using clothing and makeup can help with that but I only learned that trick by watching videos here. I wish I were closer to where you are. What you do not only for appearance sake but for the emotional well being of your clients is appreciated I'm sure! We all want to look and feel good!
I know it can be so difficult to shop online...especially for color. If you ever want help, contact my stylst, V. She is great with color and does free one-on-one video consultations. You can reach her at v@frannieshair.com. Thank you so much for watching, and I hope you are feeling well!💕
Michele's Wig Reviews channel has an excellent video on "steam a synthetic wig away from the face..." which would solve her issue with the hair falling in her face! Great fun watching her try so many wigs, such a gift to be able to do this!
I'm also 71, and youthful, and I think a wig with some grey is best on us if we want the wig to not attract questions about whether or not our hair is false. The grey wig looked great on her. Any of the short bobs with more grey/platinum would be very flattering, and undetectable. The blondes that she doesn't like, and I can see why, have too much yellow in them which doesn't go with her skin tone. I would love to see a pic of this charming woman in the one she chose!
You are such a joy to watch Frannie and your guest was amazing! What a fun and informative video! So happy you got to have this wonderful experience Karen! You are a doll and I love your new look! Mocha with Cream is gorgeous, I bet you look perfect in it! This is so helpful for new wig wearers that you shared this experience ❤
Really enjoyed this type of video...thank you for making it and thanks to Karen for sharing her experience. Frannie, you're one of the best reviewers out there!
I thought the grey one really suited Karen in colour and style. It looked so natural and quite youthful, it brightened and lifted her face. Great video. I travelled 200 miles to a wig shop but could only try on 4, so difficult to choose, colour style, density, sizing etc. I’m from UK So 200 miles is quite far, lol. X
The short dark gray looked so modern and really made her eyes pop. She definitely needs that one if she wanted a 2nd one. Some of the other colors washed her out or made her look dull, but the dark gray made her complexion look new and bright. This made me want at least 2 wigs for my thinning hair. Seeing the difference of the styles and color and how they made her face/skin/eyes look allowed me to see what a great choice of wig could do for someone's image and boost their confidence.
She did end up getting the dark grey one too. I agree; wigs have changed my life! It took a short time in the beginning to get used to wearing them. Now I don't go anywhere without them...to much fun, and my hair always looks great...with very little effort! Thanks so much for watching!💕
@@FranniesHair Glad she was able to get two. Seeing this video doesn't make me worry about losing my hair so much now with these kind of options. It would be fun to be able to change up your hair and the cut and style always look perfect. Wigs have come a long way. I didn't even know how they fastened on so this was fun to watch for an education too. I subscribed to see more.

What a great video and a brave lady to be shown on video! I actually liked the grey shirt wig, the style and colour was amazing on her. It enhanced her beautiful eyes, made her look younger and rather distinguished. I don't think the straight hair styles were the most suited to her face shape, just my opinion.
In my opinion (hahaha) she looked wonderful in the grey shorter wig. The blonde and reds don't work... sorry 😔 but the grey is the bomb 😊. Thanks Frannie. Please do more like this ❤
Frannie, you are such a natural working with these wigs and so kind too. I love how you really listened to what the customer wanted and even if you liked it, you listened to what she was saying. I loved at the end, the enthusiasm and obvious happiness with the discovery of the one she chose. BTW, do you still have a crochet channel?
Thank you so much, Pam! 😘 No, I don't still have the crochet channel. There just wasn't enough time in the day. I do still crochet though. I'm currently crocheting a baby blanket for my newest grandson. Do you have any projects going?
It’s very interesting to watch and learn that longer hair or shades for younger women do actually make you look older and sometimes outright ridiculous. This lady looks fabulous and classy in the shorter, salt and pepper dark/silver hair.
I personally LOVED the grey coloured one AND the Raquel Welsh. That red colour really suited her colouring. Lastly, this lovely lady is probably feeling like most of the wigs have to much hair because she’s not used to having hair there. It would just take a little time. Good luck😍
Hi Frannie, thank you for making this awesome video. I really loved Aletta, Meritt, Straight Up with a Twist and Bellissima on Karen. I'm so glad Karen found something she loved. Excellent choice!
I think her wig grip was too far forward when she tried Sunset on, which light have made it going into her face more on the right side..just a thought.
Lia II is my all time favorite and it’s so low density. A great first wig for getting used to seeing yourself with more hair than your used to seeing. It takes time. It looked great on you but the second one looked even better. You can also train it to stay out of your face. Aletta for the win!!!
Straight Up with a Twist ALL THE WAY! It highlighted all of your best features And btw, all the ones you liked the least looked the best! We don't see ourselves the way others see us! xoxo
Frannie, I would love to see videos of 68+ women using toppers and pixie cut wigs with flattering hair colors for elder women like silver, salt and pepper dark/silver, natural shades of blonde for blond ones, but also flattering hair colors for brunettes (or former brunettes), for women who have a peach tone complexion, not exclusively white women, but for us of Mediterranean ascent who are not fair nor dark skinned, but have a peach or very light brown complexion and had dark brown or black hair when we were young. I think these kind of wigs must be a great help when you want to stop dying and want to let grow your white hair. You would sell lots of this short cut wigs, which make an excellent gift for women of this 68+ age who like to be classy, glamorous and still beautiful.
I know she does not like warmer shades, but Straight Up With a Twist, in Ginger Brown, looked wonderful on her. The style suited her face shape, and the color, yes, very warm, went well with her skin tone, and it brought out the color of her eyes. The last one was very nice, I hope she loves it. That was fun, watching her try them all on.
I loved this video! I'm so glad you did this. It helps so much to see which style and color look better on you. Frannie, you look great in all the wigs! Thanks so much.
Frannie, I love the style you’re wearing!! Does it come in red. I’ve had red hair for 30 years and my hair grows so fast, my roots have to be retouched every two weeks. If I had a wig I may be able to extend the touch up time. Thank you in advance.
It does come in Auburn Rooted: frannieshair.com/products/lia-ii-ellen-wille?variant=46534391431454 In my opinion, Raquel Welch has the best reds. Here is my red color chart. Sunset looks great on her. I have Sunset and it's a great low density no permatease wig. Great style for a first time wig wearer. I really wish Ellen Wille would just use different wig names. Aletta, Straight Up with a Twist look great on her too!
These are heat defiant. You can tran it where it won't flop in your face by steaming, the heat of your hands, even spraying with water and clipping it back until it dries
Oh the Salt and Pepper pixie looked amazing on her! Not that she can't wear other colors, but that pixie looked sooo natural and I think that's what she wanted. Also I think she might prefer an unrooted color, that would also give her more of a natural look with some set waves to stay away from her face. Just a suggestion

Really enjoyed this video.. please do more like this! Maybe put on screen the wig name as they r being tried on so we remember. Just a thought. Loved the filming by the mirror better view all round. ❤
You don't have to wear a wig grip. Some people wear nothing at all, some use a non-toxic glue at the hairline. It really depends on what you feel comfortable with. I actually don't love the look of a wig grip when there is monofilament at the top, but it's easy for every day. When I go to an event, I will often not wear the wig grip and instead glue at the hairline. The glue I use is called 'It Stays'. Thanks so much for watching!💕
The short, darker gray wig looks fabulous on her. Sophisticated, classy and it slims her face.❤
I love that one too!💕
Agree! I thought that one looked the best on her, both color and style-wise.

Aletta is definitely the best wig and color on Karen. A longer length does not look good can actually make one look older.
I really liked Aletta on her too.💕

Really enjoyed this video.. please do more like this!
Maybe put on screen the wig name as they r being tried on so we remember. Just a thought.
Loved the filming by the mirror better view all round. ❤
Great point! I will do that...put the name on the screen. Thank you for watching!💕
This is my first time. I did you were sisters, such a nice change.
Welcome! Thank you so much for watching!💕
The first wig she had on looked really good on her
The wavy blonde on was a cute style on her. It slimmed her face. Maybe a dirty blond in the wavy with shading in ash brown.
Good on you I think you worked out which one you liked I do like the lighter colours on you I think you may even see that on the video ❤
Do you have to use the wig band underneath? Or can it be optional?
You don't have to wear a wig grip. Some people wear nothing at all, some use a non-toxic glue at the hairline. It really depends on what you feel comfortable with. I actually don't love the look of a wig grip when there is monofilament at the top, but it's easy for every day. When I go to an event, I will often not wear the wig grip and instead glue at the hairline. The glue I use is called 'It Stays'. Thanks so much for watching!💕
Good choice! I have Bellissima too and love it!
She would look super chic in a wave style, closer to pix, and in light gray shade 🥰 something like Meryl Streep in the Devil Wears Prada.
