- Li Jingliang is a Chinese mixed martial artist who competes as a welterweight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Nicknamed “The Leech” he recently went from fighting Tony Ferguson in the co-main event of UFC 279 to fighting Daniel Rodriguez further down the pay-per-view (PPV) card. Not only was it a big step down in prestige, it was a big step up in difficulty. While “El Cucuy” was a Lightweight moving up to Welterweight for the first time, Rodriguez is a big Welterweight who needed a 180-pound Catchweight to compete. Ever since seeing him gold out cold vs Khamzat he's had my respect. My favourite fighters are the ones that are tough as nails
He also went out cold on a standing rear naked choke in 2015, absolute warrior

Everyone talked about being a gangster at UFC 279. Yet he was the only one who went up in weight to fight someone bigger on zero notice and WON, yes, I said won.
Became a Leech fan when he didn't tap against Khamzat. I was like man, this guy has got heart.
He's one of those fighters that can lose and still gain fans.
My favorite part about him was when he tried to eye gouge one of his opponents. Dude has next level fight IQ

Li Jing Liang has a lot to be proud of at the end of the day. Even if he suffered some losses, he's still a great fighter with great heart. Most from China with great genetics do not go down the path of fighting, but instead opt for sports like soccer, basketball, badminton, table tennis, or running (majority).

khamzat basically humiliated him by carrying him like a kid, but in a future event where they met again he just went up to khamzat and told him "we have a saying that friends can be forged by clashing of fists, i hope we can be friends"

This dude has become a fan favourite over the past year or so, he's always been fun to watch but now we also get to see his incredible personality. I always route for the Leech, and the way he got shafted last time out... it only made my support for him even stronger. Most human beings love justice in the world where good people get good things, and bad people get bad things... so when that good person gets bad things then most of us will hate the feeling of injustice. I hope the MMA fanbase continues to get behind Jingliang as that's when the media companies will follow, which, in turn, helps Li Jingliang get the better treatment that most of us believe he deserves. Great documentary and thanks for making this mate. 👌🥋🤙
On a card if so called gangsters, Li truly was a shot caller. He is not for the casual fan. He keeps going on, on this projection, he could become as much of a household name as Bruce Lee. I think he deserves a rematch and a chance to not leave it to the judges.

Could you do one on Jan Blachowicz? He was about to be fired from the UFC if he lost one more fight, and then went back to his old coaches who got him into the UFC and then became light heavyweight champ, despite being the underdog in every single fight leading up to it

im big fan of Li, big fan of mma, im proud of Li B3ING ASIAN fighter whos doing his thing in UFC not in asia. i shared couple of tweets addressing how Li was being unfairly treated at ufc 279, i was displaying concerns n love for his ufc journey. asked him how much was Li' s ufc pay for all the trouble at 279 (never thought he actually retweeted n liked the tweet but one thing i m never fan of is CCP.
