I love me some Margaret Qualley. Simply amazing.
Such a powerful song - lyrically, musically, and visually. It captures the emotions of uncertainty and not knowing whether to hold on, let go, etc. Just that feeling of uncertainty where we try to convince ourselves that everything is fine when we don't truly believe it fully ourselves. And that part where they spin and the scene changes is very powerful - they open their eyes and the surrounding is no longer beautiful and serene but they still try and imagine dancing.
Love the use of cgi and performance capture as well, very creative and beautiful.
Always great to see a fellow furry who creates art! Keep making amazing art - it really helps those of us who are going through rough periods to connect and find comfort to push through.

@@Bellegab18 The beauty of art is the different people can find different meaning and significance in the same piece of work. I completely respect your view of it as well, it definitely may not resonate with everybody.
Since you asked, to me (being a photographer and singer myself) I focus a lot on the different details that are put into the setting to create the "world" as well as angles and framing of the shots. The way the setting first is set to the time of sunset in the middle of a forest and how everything seems so beautiful but at the same time almost restricting as the character does not move sway from the location, to how towards the end they spin and "wake up" in a sense from their trance / illusion to find that they are actually in the dark and they are shocked. But rather than getting afraid, they close their eyes and try to envision themselves dancing with someone - most likely the one they love (as is shown at the end when we see the humans that the CGI was transposed over).
Not all art is a driving one with a specific plot and feeling and such they want you to get - some actually prefer the subtlety and abstractness as it allows to create a sort of "blank slate" on which the viewer can project their experiences and feelings onto it - almost as if it's a "fill in your own" story. I think this form is very powerful because it allows the viewers to be introspective about themselves.
While the musical portion is present as well and has its meritnand reasons, I think this art piece was more meant to be a visual focused one with the music only serving as an accompaniment.
A similar one you should check out in terms of the "blank slate" art style is the video for "You Don't Know How Lucky You Are" by Keaton Henson.
I understand though that this style of art doesn't resonate with everyone and that's completely okay :) thank you for being respectful and asking questions rather than attacking it. Hopefully you can understand how this could serve as powerful art for some even if it may not for you :)
