@thundertid That is excellent mental casting! I am reading the book right now and have just reached the point where Door and Richard meet Islington. I will also imagine Dylan Moran as Richard from now on.
One of my favorite lines from anything, to be honest. I think of it often. "Like anything that said go." Anything that exists in the world will eventually decay and fall apart. Anything with a beginning has an ending. It's such a sad line but such a true one.
@SirKil0t Absolutely =D I'm re-reading it again lol I wish he'd write a second though, as I'd love to find out what happened to Ingress. But Gaiman said he doesn't like righting sequels and if he did, it might be set somewhere like New York , which would be fine as long as he kept the original characters, I'm not sure I'd want to read a sequel if Door and De Carabas weren't in it =) I'm completely in love with both characters lol Peace
@thundertid I'm looking at a Black Books now, never heared of Dylan Moran before. But after a few episodes I realized who he looked like, Richard as I imagined him. That's why I'm looking at the this video, to see who actually plays Richard. Imagine how shocked I was when I saw others had thought the same!
I love the cast, it's just a pity when Gaiman was writing the book he didn't take into account their physical appearance. For the most part they all played their part excellently, and were exactly as I'd imagined them being when I was reading the book. But as he wrote the book awhile after he'd written the story for the BBC I think he should have thought more about how he was describing his characters, because they are very different in the the book compared to the mini series.
Can we all agree that the novel deserves a far more better tv series or movie?
I can agree to that
No, the book was in fact an adaptation/expansion of the tv show, not the other way around.
@@IAMTheNerdHerd Thankyou!
Neverwhere deserved more
In the book, it's said Mr. Stockton liked to keep his hair too long to make people uncomfortable... that is definitely some uncomfortable hair 😝
just halfway thru neils audiobook.... so good !
I like the casting of Richard. Might be alone on this but I think he's cute and he's good at naiive.
When I read the book, I always imagined Dylan Moran as Richard.

I am in the exactly same situation right now :-)

Me too, he's super cute and he played the insecure and innocent personality really well.
Good to see Stratford Johns still working.
