Alonaki Beach - Preveza I Greece [4K]

Alonaki is a beach of Preveza Prefecture. It is a natural base near the community of Valanidorrahi and is located in the middle of the distance between Preveza and Igoumenitsa.
The main feature of the beach apart from the forest that surrounds it is the adjacent towering rock. It was used as a landing point for Allied troops at the end of World War II. Today one can still see the concrete layers on the beach which testify to the key geopolitical position of the beach in the Ionian Sea. It is a protected place where all human intervention, including camping, is prohibited. It is also characterized by the exceptional purity of the water and the density of vegetation, mainly trees and shrubs.
