Absolutely banger stuff man. I'm a mechanic and I couldn't find ANY blades that fit my wife's Crosstrek. I really thought the last time I changed them I used Bosch but this time around I no luck and they aren't marked. So your video saves another 👍
Thanks for this. My 2021 Crosstrek provided the challenge on this. Saturday, we were headed north on the interstate and entered a heavy rain area. We maintained speed, and put the wipers on high to get the heavy rain off the windshield. I slowed to get in the right lane and slow a little, and when I did, the wiper blades bot flew off the arms and behind us. Being the calm guy that I am, I was able to shut the wipers off and pull over safely. Had I not been that guy, there very well could have been a crash from this event, This blade design is a bad one. I have never had that happen in any vehicle I have driven, in over 50 years of driving!
Thanks for the guide! Was very easy to replace, maybe 10 seconds per wiper blade with the aftermarket blade that has OEM-like fitment. Easy to install, 10/10.
Just did the exact same thing where I bought the J hook style from Rain X before realizing they are different. Good video that saves me research time for a new set.
I wish that I had found this last week. I did buy the universal ones at the local auto store and then did extensive modifications to get them to fit. And they are twice the price of the Areo in your link.
The $32 Rain-X Endura silicone were not even close to proper mounting hardware included but the Latitude had the right adapter for what Subaru Crosstrek needs BUT after 3 months of use mine flew off in a heavy rainstorm . I had an extra wiper so no big deal but next time will not buy Rain-X for the Crosstrek . Just FYI the Subaru wiper arm mount is called narrow PTB type . That means a penny will not slide into the car's wiper arm fitting . Will get the Aero or Subaru brand . Trico stink for any car IMHO.
Is it possible to change the inserts on the OEM blades? Thanks for your awesome content man I am binge-watching as many that are applicable to my new 2024 Crosstrek
I just tried with mine, and looks like OEM inserts can be changed the same way as the AERO ones: ua-cam.com/video/nEdJ8ksSapc/v-deo.html Now have to find good refills that fit.
Will these work for a 2017 Impreza sport? I bought a set of a different brand and the driver side blades went on okay but the passenger side didn’t fit so I need to get a different wiper for that side.

Glad it helped!
Perfect. I felt so dumb before this video. Great stuff man.

Awesome, thanks bud! Having issues finding any other than the OEM but the Aero Avengers will do nicely.
Glad to help!

@@bohdanked I have bought silicone inserts online with other cars I've owned in the past.

How about for the rear 12" blade though?
Will do that at some point soon!
How are these treating you?
Wondering the same
why does the right one always break first?
I think it's because more debris builds up at the outer portion of the windshield, leaves collect at the end of the cowl, etc
I hate my car
