- Born with a bad heart, liver, and lungs, I deal with it just fine most of the time. However, I managed to come down with pneumonia (from the 'rona) and came very close to kicking the bucket this time. While in the hospital, all I could think about was getting behind the wheel of a Model A and taking a nice drive in the country. Thanks to my birthday conveniently falling on a day when I was feeling pretty good, I pulled a few of Tina's heart-strings until she let me do it. This video is Tina and I sharing that blissful moment with you, and sharing how thankful I am for you and all of your support. I can really feel the prayers and uplifting!

I’m not to good with computers, hope this reply goes through. Really nice to see your gaining recovery from your illness. I know how well, both of us have gone through body/system re-modification. Heart bypass’ , pace maker, back spine fusion, new knees, crushed leg/ankle…….etc.

Paul, Sorry to hear that you have not been feeling well. Please remember that you have many friends and supporters out here. We are all rooting for your healthy return to normal activities. As much as we love to work on and drive our Model A's we cannot forget that our health is the most important thing. "After our health everything else is just fluff". We all have had our medical bumps along the way. I am nearing completion of my 81st orbit around the sun so I have had a few myself. My good thanks to Tina for taking such good care of you. Dear Paul, I am so sorry to hear about your physical challenges; at age 77, like you, I have faced one challenge or another all my life. They may slow me down and make more more of an armchair lover of the Model A than a "get out and get under" kind of woman. Your down to earth enthusiasm and love for the Modal A is always refreshing. As a person who got into the clergy business rather later in life (I was ordained at 75), I will keep you in my prayers for a long and happy recovery. These close brushes with very bad physical disease remind us all of how precious we all are. Please know that there are very many of us out here who are praying for you and wishing you well. I just started watching you today Paul, via VGG. When you said you had heart failure it immediately struck a cord with me.
October the year before last I was struggling to just do daily tasks. I woke around 2 am one morning and had angina, then began to struggle to breathe.
When I saw you struggling for breath on that hospital bed it really hit home. Heart failure is the most terrible and painfully frightening experience one could ever have. Forcing yourself to breathe, as you know that if you stop, it's over!
I fully understand you getting out in the shed as soon as you could, getting over HF is both physical and a mental process!
It devastates you both ways.
Sorry to go on, but you survived, so did I, and being alive is the greatest thing in the world mate!
I thank God every day for having survived, and now I thank God for your survival also!
Prayers and hugs for you and your wife! Keep rolling!

Paul, I just saw this video, and I hope you are doing much better by now. I just found your channel a couple of weeks ago and I can't stop watching your videos. @@ModelA As we get older the health issues creep up on us. I was and still am overweight. My doctor told me I had better loose weight. So far, I'm down 40lbs. Currently at 220# at my first goal. Hoping to shed all the medications when I get to 190#. Not doing anything special, just "Eating Clean". No pasta, potatos or rice. Very selective on what little bread I eat(I've been crazy about Sour Dough since I was a kid) If I eat any bread, it's Sour Dough. A chicken salad for lunch and fruit the rest of the day. Nothing larger than the size of my fist. Since June, it's working and I'm feeling much better. Wishing you continued improvement. Your expertise is needed and appreciated as I continue my search for that right "A" for me.
I have almost the same issues and I really know how you feel. I get the same type of comments on my videos. Glad to see your time was not up. You haven't told me everything you know about Model A's yet, there is still much to learn. 😎👍 There is noting wrong with the 365days of A car, it looks perfect as it is. I love the color combination. Anyone thinking otherwise has no sense of taste.

I have worked in the healthcare field for years and I always take peoples health conditions very seriously. Sometimes Clueless people who would make fun of others situations make me SICK. Paul, hang in there bud, man I can really relate to this, I had pneumonia in both lungs for over 2 months back in the Spring and I seriously didn't think I was gonna make it through. Going through something like this really makes you glad for the simple things, like just being able to breath and function. Getting back into your shop, being able to drive, man THAT is a BIG deal right there. So glad you two were able to get out and have that pizza date ! Keep chuggin' along and improving ! You guys are GREAT !!! By the way, it was while I was down with pneumonia and stuck just lying around that I discovered your videos on UA-cam. Watching your videos and seeing all the A's in their natural habitat, and all your adventures was a REAL uplift to me while I was sick. You guys bring joy to a LOT of people, so God bless !!!
