Why did he want to come back, because Glen left? Were his biggest problems with Glen? Bottom line is he left and feels entitled to come back, JP is not obligated to let him back in the group.

OK, this is not an easy song to sing. It's consistently in the upper register and very idiosyncratic to Halford's voice. So I have to give Ripper some credit for doing this justice. He blows it out of the water at the end. Even with a beard. This song is a barn burner. Nice dual leads going back and forth. Ellefson having a great time in his element of up-tempo aggressive metal.
The moment I've read that Downing wants to form a Priest coverband and taking the Ripper with him, I knew they will fucking ruin the original Priest, because Ripper sounds like a young Halford and everyone knows that young Halford was one of the best singers the world has ever seen

KK just kicked the living piss out of the old Geritol needing Judas priest. Tipton is a great guitar player but he lacks the frenetic energy Downing had in Priest. Downing was right he was the energy fueling priest and he just backed up what he said in a big way. KK is a reincarnated juggernaut, The phoenix rising from the ashes. All hail the true reincarnated Priest.
If Ripper had gone for a cleaner voice in the high notes it would have been easier for in to sing the song. The man did a great job, but even for professional singers this song is a struggle. It requires a lot of technique and stamina.
I luv Ripper but this is not good at all! When ever he does certain versions this way, like he does Painkiller or the Sentinel as well. Their bad! But yet if sang them like he does Rapid Fire or the ending of Diamonds and Rust they would be fuckin Epic!!!!

This shows the two biggest mistakes Priest ever made. Getting rid of KK, and losing Binks. Binks' swing fits this song. Stained Vengeance!
