I do run sales and have pretty good success. What I wish eBay had the option is to remove offers on sale items. I usually allow offers on most of my items but when they are on sale, you have to go in and turn off the offer option on each individual item. Ugh. Too much time. Love your videos and appreciate your genuineness. Cheers to a successful 2025!!!
I am running a 60% off sale too. Mine has been running since before Christmas. My sales overall have been good after the New Year (they were pretty slow around Christmas and after, but I was also on vacation) and the sale seems to have helped my non-sales items as well. Our family is moving (just found out the move is a sure thing) so I am doing my best to pair down inventory. I do agree with you about considering your time and although I hate to see things go so cheap, at least I make a small profit (most of the time) and somebody gets a good deal. If I clean it out, then I lose all the time with photographing, writing the listing, plus the cost of the item. My sale ends soon so I will probably make it 75% off older items next. I also get the people who send the lowball offers on the really discounted items. If they do that on ebay, I send a low offer that will make me a few more dollars on poshmark to try to get a little more for the item.
You inspired me to get rid of some old inventory. I hit the 1000 listing limit in December for my basic Ebay store and rather than upgrade it's time to do an out with the old and make way for more shopping. I did a markdown> create sales event. On the right side beside specific items I clicked on add and selected anything older than 180 days. Turned out to be 400 listings! I did a modest 30% off and for the weekend but I suppose if it doesn't clear out much I can just be more aggressive next time!
It’s a constant learning curve. I use a thermal label printer. But for over a year, I used the QR codes and had the labels printed at the post office. It was a great system for me then. I hope that helps!
I am not convinced that promoting helps. I tried it and while my store supposedly had more views, I had no more sales. I have ran a 25% off sale with more success. That’s a win for the buyer and the seller. That’s with going in and upping the cost of some of the items before the sale. 😅
Yeah, I’m not sure promoting helps either. But it does seem like I get a small boost in sales when I mess with promotions a bit. I usually just go back and forth between 2 and 3%.
The woman that started Quaker Factory passed away, her son took over the company. She had a wonderful personality which helped sell the clothing. Now all of that is gone and it is just another clothes company. Try putting "granny core" in the title with Quaker Factory. The younger kids like that sort of thing.
I did a sale in December after I watched your video. It did help get rid of older inventory. I'm running a new one now in January. Thanks!
That’s great!

Great point! It is frustrating to get an offer on something that I’m already offering 60% off.
i like watching your videos Jenn......your real & have a fun personality!
That’s so kind. Thanks!

Oh wow! I’m glad the sale is working for you. Good luck on the move! Will you be moving far away?
Thanks for your videos, Jen! You taught me several things today, so thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Hi Jenn Happy New Years ❤🎉
Happy Nee Year, Barbara!!

That’s great!
I have a done a couple sales. Over new years weekend I did 30% off eBay & 40% off Posh. It did seem to add a few!
Still here learning before I dive in :) Interested in how you print shipping labels...Thanks for the video lesson this morning.
It’s a constant learning curve. I use a thermal label printer. But for over a year, I used the QR codes and had the labels printed at the post office. It was a great system for me then. I hope that helps!
So many people are doing low or no buy January so I don’t have huge expectations for this month 😢
It’s good for them, not so much for us.
LOL! I tape the "flaps" down too!
They make me so nervous. Glad I’m not alone!
5 sales from 2...onward and upward! 🎉🎉🎉 😊
Yeah!!!!
Hi Jenn I love your down to earth, easy going content! How many items do you generally have listed at a time? Thanks!
Great question! Right now it’s about 1200. I like to be about 1000, but it was up to just over 1300 this past fall.

Good idea.
