Hi everyone - apologies that this is a major departure from the regular style, which I appreciate won't be to everyone's taste. This is just a one off however, and future videos will return to the usual format. For those interested, because this is about a person and not a battle, I had been really struggling to find enough licence free imagines and map content to fill the 16 minutes - hence using clips. I hope you enjoy it nonetheless!

Your focus on diplomacy and espionage was well done and interesting. This channel has brought freshness to a well traveled period.

I think this is great! It’s History Rebels not history battles. I want to know all about the key figures and what they actually did during the Revolution itself. Like Charles Lee

Pail giamatti nailed his roles as john addams! I first i thought it was another episode of drunk history but then paul pulled it off and i was like this is actually good.

It's funny. I just finished watching the HBO John Adams series a few days ago after it caught my eye. I really only watched it because of how captivated I was by your channel and the content that was covered. Then here you are covering it in detail, using clips from the show. Funny how the world works...

Geoffrey Wilkinson's is the best Benjamin Franklin portrayal ever put to screen. RIP to a brilliant actor.

The French supplied over 100,000 muskets to support the American cause, possibly reaching a total of 200,000.
The muskets were priced at $5 each, and the French extended credit to the Americans for the purchase of the firearms.
In America, it cost approximately $10-12 to manufacture a gun during that period.
Benjamin Franklin expressed optimism, stating 'if half of the ordered guns arrive, we will have done well.'
    Vive Le France!
Great Content as always. Such a great narration voice!

I love the topic! American victory is not only won on the battlefield but also won in diplomacy and espionage. We got tons of videos about the battles but we surely lack videos about diplomacy, espionage, economics, and many other factors.

I think this change of style went perfectly well. You explained a fantastic overview of Franklin's significant contribution to the war and HBO John Adams was definitely worth using. Its an incredibly well written mini series and provides a clear visual interpretation on the history being covered.
    Well done! :)

I really love the channel, but I think you guys could've done with much, much less or even zero footage from fictional films. I personally much prefer the emphasis on historical paintings and your maps, though tastefully showing reenactments of specific, historical events is also nice. It may just be me, or I may speak for a few, when I say that I personally just really, really dislike the amount of footage from the John Adams miniseries you've used, and I'm only 2 minutes in.
All the best wishes, I just very much wanted to provide some constructive criticism.

That's a really fair comment and I appreciate the feedback. This was a major departure from the regular style (and a one off!) mostly because I had been struggling to find enough imagines / map content to fill the 16 minutes. Absolutely noted however - we'll be returning to the usual style soon enough for Brandywine!

Okay you skipped too much important information.
    1. Benjamin was a British runaway slave.
    2. He became famous for winning a poetry "Lyricist" contest and was shipped to England to be educated by Mozart if I recall correctly.
That's right his specialty was Lyricism.
He was chosen to write the Constitution in two languages: New English and Holländisch-Deutsch and that's why if you look at the constitution it reads "We the People" and "Weiße People".
It literally starts out as White People.
Interestingly although he won the contest the best lyricists were always Black people who won consistently therefore Ben was the best White lyricist they could find but not better than Black Lyricists.👌
This marks the begining to the fall of Black Supremacy: Religion, Free Masons and Slavery.
And the begining of White Supremacy, Freedom "Homelessness", and Racism.
Prior to Ben the main languages used in North Amerika were: Negro Holländisch-Deutsch, Javanese, Melajoe, Sranan, and Deutsch.
That's right, early Amerika History was not written in English unless it was to lie or alter what really took place.🧐
