Yeah finally got my parts (sliders, shock mounts, rear bed etc) and I gotta say that the workmanship and precision of ALL the items is top shelf. And that's the absolute truth in my opinion. Thank you "Rock Pirates" very much for your help and consideration.
Hmmm... Nice, but I have to ask why you didn't design the new body mounts so that they would fit the original body holes? No biggie with a new body, but I'm not a fan of additional holes in my bodies....
I noticed that your truck done just like mine, with the new front shock towers the new mounting of the pan hard bar shifts the axle towards the drivers side making the right side ( or passengers side ) shock close to the frame and cause the tire to rub when turning sharp. I spaced mine down a tad to try and help but still not much difference.
Awesome upgrades I have a stock rtr gatekeeper and after setting up the shocks it does really well my next purchase will be the ecto I know they are the same platform but want both lol
I wanted the Ecto but the Gatekeeper was cheaper at AMain. So I brought the Gatekeeper along with the Ecto body. This was actually cheaper than buying the Ecto itself.
My upper link wouldn’t work with the Rock Pirates battery tray, was hitting the part that the strap goes thru…Not really important anyway, but sucks a little…..
Great video! I love my ecto but i am having issues with it right now. I put on the RPRC shock towers, SSD weighted steering knuckles, and i am running the 13% overdrive in the trans and now i have this knock that i cant figure out. it doesnt appear to be doing anything ( damage) to the truck but its driving me insane. I most do trails with my rig but I crawl too. Have you had this issue? Did your rig act funny after adding all these upgrade parts? No the is no binding in my drive train. I removed the drive shafts and spun the front and the rear tires and nothing, no click or knock. Then i ran the motor and no knock coming from the trans but when i have it all together it knocks and it makes my front axle jump.
Which club5 rc link kit did you use? They make two sets one for the enduro senduro and the other just says enduro? I even emailed them an they said the enduro won't fit? Even if you could tell me the measurements on the links themselves that would help massively I think you used 110mm for the two lower but just can't see the measurements clearly
Yes the upper link going from the frame to the top of the axle is 100 mm and the two lower links going from the crossmember to the lower axle are 110 mm.
Just ordered rprc parts for my ecto , I can’t wait lol . Just want to say Thanks for your time and effort in making these… it ain’t easy and I appreciate it bro 😎.
- You "should" turn your NEW Rock Pirates (front) shock towers [around]... ...(IF) you are hill-climbing, cuz the more vertical a shock, the better it accurately works, up & down !!! 🤔Plus "I" lean my front shocks forward, NOT back, for (2) reasons !! One, for maximum shock function, and two, so when my crawler is at a 60° degree or more angle, (MY RIG ALREADY HAS AN EXTRA 12° DEGREES) OF "FORWARD LEAN"!!! And what this also does, is allow my front axle to raise with one tire at a time, (a lot) easier, without sacrificing spring compression !! - So I don't have to run soft-er front springs ! - You will " know" it is working, when you see it happening, I could explain, but it takes way too long to write out !!! 🙄..... Just give it a try, you might need some shock-keys, for forward mounting of more than the "stock" two or three options !! Any more than 12° degrees, is pretty much useless !!! - Give it a chance, if you are a diehard hill-climber, or just want to try my idea. 😁 It just made sense, to have my front shocks "vertical" or closer to that, just like we typically do our rear shocks !!! 😉 - Like my dad taught me, "lean into the hill", - it will help you keep your balance, and save your a** !!! ...😆 - very true !! 💪🇺🇸
I was liking the video till the club 5 stuff. I have all of your guys rock pirates stuff, and it's awesome. Fit and finish is perfect. Club 5 however is not at all. The links don't fit properly without lots of mods, there servo relocation for the gen8 is a joke doesn't take but 2 screws other two don't fit no matter what. You can even see there are only 2 screws in the picture on there website. If I were you I would separate your great products with subpar products. Don't want to cloud your brand with there crap.
I was watching and listening through the whole video while wrenching on my trucks. Thanks for the detailed walk through. I love my RPRC parts!
You do a great job with the how to's. Some feel the need to talk constantly and expose their lack of knowledge. Many Thanks
Love my RockPirates sliders!!
Thank you sir :)
I'd love to get my hands on those sliders. Hard to get um'.

THANKS FOR POSTING SIR. HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT WEEK.🇬🇧🇺🇸✌️👍

working on clean rc is so nice. ecto is serious performer, its almost a comp rig lol
It is an awesome truck

Excellent build, not for nothing i was debating between the Ekto and the sendero...i guess i still am 😊
I just received an Ecto from a raffle here on YT. Your channel has given me so many things I need to do to the truck. Just awesome.

Thanks for U’r post, was really helpful… 🤗👊
Do the shock tower mounts lower the stance?
Is there a size difference between the husky links and the factory links? The diameter looked the same on camera
Just wondering have you had any issues with the front shaft rubbing on battery tray?

Awesome video excellent upgrades definitely like the looks amazing products
Where can I buy the Husky parts you mention in the video?
Club5 “Canada”
Just got all this for my Ecto!
When will you be getting the rear shock towers in stock ?

I did the same with your stickers over the holes then some small pieces of black tape on the inside.

@@rockpiratesrc3828 thank you so much! You guys customer service is top notch 👌
Can you tell me what Club 5 Links you used?
There are tiny nuts on the pan hard mount making it a slight stinker to get off.
I was having problems with the body sitting back down level so I'm trimming a little off the bottom edge of the body.
Yes you will have to trim the body to get it to sit right on the sliders 👍🏻

Where do you get the bits for your drill? I’ve been unlucky in finding any.
These are MIP and protek. Protek you can find on amain hobbies and MIP can be found on horizon hobby or amain hobby. Or your local hobby store
@@rockpiratesrc3828 thanks
So are those link kits specific to one particular Element model?
I don’t believe so all elements should share the same link kits except for the ecto because of the trailing arms and longer wheel base
it's great work 👍👍👍
I threadlock all screws that go into metal (brass/aluminum).
Part 3 or run video?
😁😁👍👍

We have only used their links and have never had any issues with them
