Nice rig! I'll be copying a lot of your upgrades with my ecto after I finish my Kraken Pro. Would have been nice to see the stance off the stand though. Good job!
2 questions on the shock towers: 1) Is there a benefit to putting on a cross brace between the shock towers like there is on the stock towers? 2) Do the new towers weight less than stock? I wish the towers were a little longer to put the shocks at a little more of an angle for more travel. Thanks.
Ha! I'm watching this as background while I modify my little Losi mini T into a short course truck. I had to cut the body for the rear shock tower but it looks cool and different. Used one of the WlToys 1/18 bodies. Just need to jack up the shocks so the wheels clear without having to do more cutting. Fun, fun!
definately going to buy the tray towers and sliders......you should manufacture a little bracket for the trailing arms to mount up you know the plastic piece you kept inthis video ifyou just made oneout of metal id buy them for my ecto!
Been back and forth between these two videos and can’t find where you say what Vanquish servo horn you ended up running. We’ve got a Gatekeeper currently running a Creep body with all these upgrades minus the battery tray. Horn the car came with is stripped so curious what you used.
@@rockpiratesrc3828 awesome, thank you. We’ve got an old version on the gatekeeper that the screws are stripped since we got it. I’ll be adding a new one soon, thanks
I really love ecto, sendero, and gatekeepeer. Great video, west desert wheeler turned me on to your channel and I cant wait to try some of your products....his 10.2 is the best looking crawler ive seen outside of comping............glad ive discovered you.
I can't wait see what other partsyour going have ! I just ordered power wagon sliders, and shock towers!! I prob ended up getting another set wagon sliders soon for a build have !! Great products from Rock Pirates 🤘🏻👍
Will likely be building an Ecto next, so interested in your series of mods. All cool. However, as a child of the 70's I have to ask, where did the mini posters of Farrah and Daisy, of the garage walls come from??? And yes, I actually DID have that Farrah poster on my bedroom wall back in the day!
I see it as the protect the driveshaft. If there was more clearance, the driveshaft would drag more. They allow good articulation, with great side hill ability
Excellent video :)) I'm lovin the Rock Pirate Upgrades ...... and....Where do I get one of those 1/10 Scale Workshop Sets in the background ??? i need one Very Badly lol
I been running my lipo up front using cable ties since i got this got my ladder chassis crawler, no battery box, it makes a lot of difference on running the battery in the rear which i did not like from the get go on this crawler. I wish i could afford to splash out on one of these bad boys but even if i had the money it would be hard to justify buying another rig when i have several that have many, many hours of bashing and crawling on them and a couple of crawlers that are more than good enough for me. 8
I'm here following along doing the same mods on my Green Ecto. I really appreciate all the info and you taking the time to put this video out.
Awesome upgrades! Thanks for the how to on installing the parts, especially the slider install with trailing arm mounts.
We should have the new Rock Pirates RC ECTO sliders which will include the trailing arm mounts in about two weeks.
@@rockpiratesrc3828 wish I would have known... I just ordered the ones in the video... lol

You should pick one up! Thanks so much 👍🏼

Fantastic new product! I'll get this on my Gatekeeper/Ecto soon!

@@rockpiratesrc3828 So these parts out yet ?
So... again how do I get these parts? Please let me know.
@@operation11charlieinc Hey Brother you ever get those parts you wanted ?
Great video. I need one of everything now.
Great video 👌🏻
I’m one of those guys who hate to tinker, so I’ll wait for someone to make the parts to fit, so I don’t have to 🙂
Cool!!! So shock towers lowered the back a bit..and the front?😮

:) New ECTO RPRC Slider with bracket should be available this week. Prototypes on our website.
Really like your video. I just placed an order for everything for the SCX10 except the servo tray it seems to be out of stock.

Cool new Sub. 😎 very nice quality 👌. Long video but extremely informative!!! Step by step is much appreciated.

Thanks a bunch. We hope to have the new ECTO Sliders and trailing arm brackets in tomorrow.

Haha I believe we just printed those right off the internet 👍🏼
I was 14 when I had that poster, and Cox powered cars. Great memories
Great video!

Will you help me build my Enduro like yours? I really like your build
Will an internal spool Reefs winch work on the Ecto or does it need to be an external spool?
The internal reefs winch should work I believe. As long as it is a low profile winch
@@rockpiratesrc3828 I ended up going the 99 Micro winch and the DSM titanium adapter for micro servos.
Very good videos 😄👍. Now that you have a slider for the Ecto it self on the homepage, will that be any different to mount ?
No sir it comes with the trailing arm mounts👍🏼
Very nice!!!
I deleted the rear swaybar and the articulation is waaay better. Also have a internal shock reservoirs all around to help
The articulation is better, but the side hill ability goes way down.
When it comes to flex and performance, do you think trailing arms are just as good as the conventional style of the shock being mounted at the axle?
It’s hard to say. I think for crawling links are a little better but the trailing arm set up in the ecto honestly works really well👍🏼
it really depends. sometimes if you have enough overdrive, the trailing arm will be better for sliding over rocks, but that only happens sometimes
I see it as the protect the driveshaft. If there was more clearance, the driveshaft would drag more.
They allow good articulation, with great side hill ability

Do you send internationally? I'm from Malaysia. Thank you
Think ur tires are on backwards.. never mind.. thanks for the video
Hey Guys I am really ready to buy your products. How do I get them?
What’s the preferred method to vent the tires ?
One hole, lexan scissors on center of tread, diamond notch
