Kalibrgun Cricket II bullpup airgun - First month impressions!

- The new Cricket II bullpup landed in the USA in mid-November. It looks like Kalibrgun is listening to airgunners and has updated their longstanding airgun platform with a forward sidelever cocking mechanism. Here are my thoughts and impressions of this latest version of this .22 caliber PCP.
I'll be posting more videos and detailed reviews of this gun in the future, but for now visit the #airgunnation forum where I have posted much more information on this rifle:
www.airgunnation.com/topic/ka...
And just to clarify - some of the accessories that came with the gun that I mention in the video (quick disconnect adapter for the fill probe, extra magazine, crown saver pull-through cleaner and sample targets) are exclusive to the Georgia Airguns distributer here in the US.

Very factual information, nothing left out, so honesty not hiding anything, explaining what went wrong how you fixed it and so on, i like that in a reviewer, its important
Take care, Stay safe and keep it lit.👍
Thanks! This video came really easy... I just wanted to tell people what I would want to know. Pretty simple. :-)
Great video Matt. Thanks for the hard work to bring us some much needed info!
Thank you sir! Hard work? Nahhh, more of a labor of love :-) I hope you enjoy it and sorry about my dog drooling in the beginning!
@@coultervid Jasper is the star of the show! Even he was drooling over the Cricket ;-) Hope to see more of him as well!
You guys are so lucky to have such high ft lbs, my kricket 2 in the UK is set to 11.5 ft lbs to stay under the legal requirements of our nanny state,
But my kricket 2 in .177 is very good.
Yes sir! We are fortunate in that regard. One thing that's especially impressive is the power/velocity range my .22 Cricket II has... On the upper end it will shoot Monster Redesigned (25.4 grain) at 865 fps / 42 fpe all the way down to about 17 fpe with 14 grain .22 pellets.
Cheers and happy new year to you :-)
Very good review 👍 it's about time someone says they had a minor problem with the gun because all brands have their pros and cons
Yep, that's the reality. Fortunately the crickets are quite easy to work on. There are some definite advantages to their fairly simple design!
Great first impressions review. I almost pulled the trigger a few years ago on the original but I held off. Finally bought an EDgun Lelya 2.0 bullpup last year and I love it. But it looks like the Cricket 2 platform is a winner too.
No doubt they are both fantastic airguns!
Air pressure differential due to low temperatures causes the fps drop 👍
No doubt, cold air is more dense and is harder for the projectile to go through, but the real change I experienced was due to cold temperatures affecting lubrication inside the gun. I found that below freezing (or so...) velocities dropped due to the hammer spring being slowed down and it wasn't hitting the valve as hard as it should. This was especially true when testing lighter hammer spring settings. I found the velocities were higher (at similar hammer spring settings) after cleaning out some of the lubrication on the hammer and spring!
Well Done Matt! You seemed a bit nervous. LOL! Fine looking AG Sir!

Thank you Michael! Doing video is definitely outside of my "comfort zone". But what doesn't kill you makes you stronger right?
Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas!
As we say in Texas, There ye go! (Texan for Yep)! r And a very merry Christmas! I'm with you. I really don like luge in my hammer tube. Or spring. I end up polish8ng the tube in many of may guns and put very small Teflon or nylon buttons in the hammer by pocket milling the pockets and pressing the buttons in. No friction. No tube wear. ;
My loading rod did the same Matt after around 20 shots from new . Obviously it's a common problem
Hi Richard, yours is the first (besides mine) that I have heard doing this too. Were you able to fix it yourself as well? If you're part of the AirGunNation forum or GTA can you PM me there? I'd like to ask you a few more questions!

Hi Richard, please, contact our dealer Charlie from Georgia Airguns.
I have the Vulcan 2 and the Uragan in 25 caliber, and I can tell you this about the both of them. Both guns like heavy 34 grain pellets.
Yup, that's my cricket 25's favorite food too!
Good video! Is the Cricket 2 hammer spring adjuster the same dimensions as the Cricket 1? Is the metal adjuster standard with the Cricket 2, or was it an add-on,?
Hi there! The adjuster on the cricket II is the stock original one. And I don't know (yet) if they are interchangeable or not. The threads feel much tighter on the II than the original cricket.
Thanks for a thorough, in depth and honest review of the Cricket II. At your 70 yard range do you see any accuracy superiority of the .25 or .22?
Hi @igolfat8 I think your question will need to be my next video :-) I do think the .25 cricket will outshoot it at that distance - and that margin would get larger in less than ideal condition - but the question is by how much. Stay tuned!
Hi @igolfat8, here's the 70 yard comparison between the Cricket II in .22 and the original Cricket!

The drop in FPS could be from stiff lubricant but is more likely from the colder temps. There is more energy in warmer air, as the air in the tank cools the air inside looses some energy and velocities go down. I live in northern IL and it happens with every PCP I own.
Indeed! Spring will come... Someday!
Is the trigger shoe on the Cricket 2 plastic now?
Hi there, I had to check to know for sure but yes, the trigger blade seems to be made of plastic.
@@coultervid Thanks for checking. The Vulcan also has a plastic trigger blade. I''m going to assume it's a polymer similar to that on a Glock.
Good like cricket Gun yousaf Pakistan
