The ending really makes me cry, the music and how Sonic looks up at the feather smiling. The graphics and music for this game are outstanding, Similar to Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric/Sonic Synergy, this game had amazing potential, If this game wasn't rushed, we could've gotten so much better level design, content, polish, control, and physics that actually work. You know. I'm gonna sound crazy for saying this but... Fuck it. I want a remake of this game. Yes, it was horrible gameplay wise, and the sonic/elise thing was creepy as hell, but think about it. The rest of the concepts are pretty damn awesome. It has a pretty good story, an undeniably awesome main villain, creative boss battles, and some damn fine worlds (That were glitchy as hell but pretty to look at.) And there's no denying that His World was the absolute best thing about this game. So fuck it. I want a Reboot of '06. See if Sega still has the talent to do a Sonic game justice.

Even though this game is terrible, something that I like about this game is how Mephiles was ultimately the true villain of this game. I know that Dr Eggman is the main villain of the Sonic series, but the the main villain of this game is Mephiles. Mephiles tricked Silver by saying that Sonic was the Iblis trigger, he tried to make Shadow rule the world with him, he even killed Sonic to make Elise cry just to make the Flames of Disaster appear so he could join with Iblis and transform into Solaris. Mephiles is one of my favorite villains of all times.
One thing I like about all sonic games is that even though sonic and shadow aren’t that much of good friends, they still support each other and don’t argue when something is attacking the world. I just think that they have a bigger friendship, they just don’t express it.

Despite the actual gameplay being an absolute nightmare I find the story interesting and sweet. Though I hate the time factor where all characters or all, but a few don't remember the tragic and heartfelt events they went through together. The music used especially for the credits are pretty good and sweet and the cutscenes weren't too bad especially the CGI ones. Overall I find this game amazing MINUS the gameplay. Makes me feel sad to see the ending of it all the time as well as heavy frustration.
Who even remembers the event apart from Sonic? I know it was hinted in Colours DS that Silver and Blaze have some memory, and Blaze recognising Crisis City in Generations makes me feel as though she remembers. I think it’s best for Shadows character that he remembers, plus that means all 3 main characters keep their memory. I’m also assuming that as Omega is a robot he can remember, the events being in his memory core (or whatever it is Omega has). But apart from that, who remembers?
I think the only people that remembers the event just Sonic,Silver, Shadow,And Blaze. They all have the power that can control Chaos emerald since they all have "Chaos Power" and for Blaze that inherited the power of flame that strong enough to control Chaos Emeralds. And also these people are the only people that capable to seal and remove the existence of an interdimensional being
I remember when my mom bought this game as a surprise a long ass time ago. As a little kid, I cherished the fuck outta this game. It's just kinda awesome to remember the days when I was a little kid, playing Motorstorm and this.

To be honest I really liked this because it was my first sonic game.The animations were amazing (except for the little cutscenes).The music was epic and the story was fine.Sega should totally remake this game and change some parts of the story (instead of elise kissing sonic,they could just make elise cry and her tear falls on sonics face and then he wakes up and then comes this epic super scene with the all 3 going 'super').On the fighting scenes they could put a bit more work on it and try to avoid all the glitches. While I hated the bugs, glitches, inconsistency of Shadow's homing attacks, and how slow and clunky Amy's controls were I liked this game because it introduced Silver (One of my favs from the three Hedgehogs), had great graphics, great OSTs, and an AMAZING final boss.

I actually think in gameplay, Silver was attacking in the past (which is why he needs to attack first) then Shadow in the present (he goes second) then Sonic in the future (he goes last), but I vote your idea makes a little more sense.
The ending is such a wonderful moment. Man... granted the gameplay was a bit bad but the story and music was one of a kind you don't hear alot in Sonic games. I wish SEGA would remaster this
personally, I think the final story was good, or basically the whole game overall, just weird gameplay and glitches. I think the final story could use a bit more polish. what I think should've happened (and this is just my opinion) is when she made the plea to the chaos emeralds to bring back sonic, Blaze should've made a reappearance, since she wasn't dead (as for her appearance in SonicGenerations) and passed the flames of disaster to Sonic, therefore resurrecting him and transforming him into a more powerful being with the help of the chaos emeralds. I feel that this should've been more appropriate than the whole Snow White reversal thing where she just kisses him and he rises from the dead. it would also give Blaze a part to play in the final story since in all the past Sonic games, in the final stories every character played a part to save the world from certain doom. I hope all u sonic fans out there will agree with me, and if not, u know its all good, much love to u.
This game had so much potential. The cutscenes are great and the soundtrack too. I would love to see a remastered version for the PS4. With finished programming and refining the story

I know the game was bad but why does everyone rip on this game? I mean like its story was ok, I admit the glitches were derpy. But the music used in that game are amazing, the graphics where awesome for its time and was very innovative, and even though the glitches are bad but very few people know that there was a directors cut of this game and it fixed all the problems, it's nearing its 10th anniversary so guys please cut it some slack after all it was the border like between the Classic adventure sonic and more modern up beat sonic. Seriously the music, game mechanics that where going to be and are in this game are amazing. I think after all this time, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG (2006) deserves some respect. :)

+videogamenostalgia Hum, I think Sonic's far from dead. We had Sonic Unleashed, which was a great jump in quality, compared to Sonic 06. Then we had Sonic Colors, which improved upon its predecessor, and it was overall great, and to add to that, we had Sonic Generations, which was awesome. Though there were better stages to be chosen, it was good overall. What I want Sega to do next is an Sonic Adventure 2 style game. No boost this time, since, while it's fun and works, it's getting old by now. Multiple characters again, but not too much. If it has Sonic, Knuckles and Tails, I'm good. A good plot is necessary too, I mean, SU plot was great, SC was a bit more simplistic, SG started good but went downhill after the first three stages.
Despite the terrible gameplay this game has I really miss when sonic games used to have engaging stories I wish they bring this factor in future games.

Even though this game is terrible, something that I like about this game is how Mephiles was ultimately the true villain of this game. I know that Dr Eggman is the main villain of the Sonic series, but the the main villain of this game is Mephiles. Mephiles tricked Silver by saying that Sonic was the Iblis trigger, he tried to make Shadow rule the world with him, he even killed Sonic to make Elise cry just to make the Flames of Disaster appear so he could join with Iblis and transform into Solaris. Mephiles is one of my favorite villains of all times.

Despite the actual gameplay being an absolute nightmare I find the story interesting and sweet. Though I hate the time factor where all characters or all, but a few don't remember the tragic and heartfelt events they went through together. The music used especially for the credits are pretty good and sweet and the cutscenes weren't too bad especially the CGI ones. Overall I find this game amazing MINUS the gameplay. Makes me feel sad to see the ending of it all the time as well as heavy frustration.

Who even remembers the event apart from Sonic? I know it was hinted in Colours DS that Silver and Blaze have some memory, and Blaze recognising Crisis City in Generations makes me feel as though she remembers. I think it’s best for Shadows character that he remembers, plus that means all 3 main characters keep their memory. I’m also assuming that as Omega is a robot he can remember, the events being in his memory core (or whatever it is Omega has). But apart from that, who remembers?

To be honest I really liked this because it was my first sonic game.The animations were amazing (except for the little cutscenes).The music was epic and the story was fine.Sega should totally remake this game and change some parts of the story (instead of elise kissing sonic,they could just make elise cry and her tear falls on sonics face and then he wakes up and then comes this epic super scene with the all 3 going 'super').On the fighting scenes they could put a bit more work on it and try to avoid all the glitches. But sadly....sega wont ever do that :'(

I personally hate Sonic 06, but I do acknowledge that it had a lot of potential. It had an good story but the gameplay ruined it all.
While I hated the bugs, glitches, inconsistency of Shadow's homing attacks, and how slow and clunky Amy's controls were I liked this game because it introduced Silver (One of my favs from the three Hedgehogs), had great graphics, great OSTs, and an AMAZING final boss.

personally, I think the final story was good, or basically the whole game overall, just weird gameplay and glitches. I think the final story could use a bit more polish. what I think should've happened (and this is just my opinion) is when she made the plea to the chaos emeralds to bring back sonic, Blaze should've made a reappearance, since she wasn't dead (as for her appearance in SonicGenerations) and passed the flames of disaster to Sonic, therefore resurrecting him and transforming him into a more powerful being with the help of the chaos emeralds. I feel that this should've been more appropriate than the whole Snow White reversal thing where she just kisses him and he rises from the dead. it would also give Blaze a part to play in the final story since in all the past Sonic games, in the final stories every character played a part to save the world from certain doom. I hope all u sonic fans out there will agree with me, and if not, u know its all good, much love to u.

I know the game was bad but why does everyone rip on this game? I mean like its story was ok, I admit the glitches were derpy. But the music used in that game are amazing, the graphics where awesome for its time and was very innovative, and even though the glitches are bad but very few people know that there was a directors cut of this game and it fixed all the problems, it's nearing its 10th anniversary so guys please cut it some slack after all it was the border like between the Classic adventure sonic and more modern up beat sonic.
Seriously the music, game mechanics that where going to be and are in this game are amazing. I think after all this time, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG (2006) deserves some respect.

Unlike all of the sonic game series story where you have to defeat an evil jenius mastermind and then have a happy ending, sonic 06 gives us a timeline where a villain, nemesis and everyone must join forces together to kill the god of time and space,Solaris. The ending is kinda sad and also happy, because in the end sonic and everyone safe the universe but elise must lost her memories about sonic so that their encounter never happened and the same accident won't happen again. Only eggman, Shadow,Rouge,Omega,Silver,Sonic and his friends remembered about what really happened

+videogamenostalgia Hum, I think Sonic's far from dead. We had Sonic Unleashed, which was a great jump in quality, compared to Sonic 06. Then we had Sonic Colors, which improved upon its predecessor, and it was overall great, and to add to that, we had Sonic Generations, which was awesome. Though there were better stages to be chosen, it was good overall.
What I want Sega to do next is an Sonic Adventure 2 style game. No boost this time, since, while it's fun and works, it's getting old by now. Multiple characters again, but not too much. If it has Sonic, Knuckles and Tails, I'm good. A good plot is necessary too, I mean, SU plot was great, SC was a bit more simplistic, SG started good but went downhill after the first three stages.
