Young Hercules is a prequel series to the television series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, starring young Ryan Gosling in the title role. The show features the efforts of Ares, the god of war, played by Kevin Tod Smith, who attempts often to destroy his younger half-brother to win over Zeus' good graces. The series follows Hercules (Ryan Gosling) as he attends Cheiron's Academy to train in the arts of the warrior under the wise headmaster Cheiron the Centaur (Nathaniel Lees).

When Ian Bohen didn’t opt to continue the role of young Hercules in the Fox Kids series (which he had played in the straight-to-video movie and in several episodes of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys) the gig went to Ryan Gosling. Ian was a better physical match for Kevin Sorbo, but that doesn’t mean Ryan didn’t do a good job. He also got to show up once on HtLJ himself. (Not as Herc.)

What a news! Hercules & Xena's channel. These are literally my most favorite TV shows. I watched them partially as a child and then revised them completely ten years later.

also keep in mind that the actor who plays Iolus played one of Thorin's nephews in The Hobbit.
The dude who played Jason apparently also got cast and recorded scenes for playing Vigilante in Peacemaker, but dropped out for creative differences. no idea why, that would have been his biggest role probably like ever.
I rather see more Xena videos than this.
