Tobe doesn't seem to follow the social norm of other artists that get mainstream media attention...he's on another level of deeper creativity with his artistry & I am HERE for it 🙌✊
Does he invest as much in promotion? Does he collab with people who already have mainstream success enough? Does he even want to be mainstream? I don't think there's any media conspiracy against him. He's still got fewer than 500k subs. As good as that number is, it's not fitting for someone on his level of artistry, so it tells me there's something lacking in his promotion. Good art doesn't sell itself. it has to be actively sold. I can mention other very talented people who are not as famous as their talents deserve and the only place I see they come short is in the area of promotion and collabs. Jon Bellion and Smith & Thell are examples. Joyner Lucas, on the other hand, is an example of a talented genius who loves his independence but got his break with one powerful collab with Eminem.
Not every is willing to sell their soul for that fame. His end game isn't billboard, it's freedom for his people. When the time comes you will see who has the following, when money no longer matters and life will be dependant on numbers
