I saw them with Brockhampton and Slowthai in Philadelphia and there was the weirdest split in the crowd. Maybe 1/3 of the crowd was going absolutely apeshit and the other 2/3 clearly had never heard a 100 gecs song before.

100 gecs has really good music but since the voice is so different it makes people think it’s bad. the catchy songs and the good lyrics are there but it’s not what you expect so you only pay attention to the vocals which make it more memorable

I tried listening to the album when it came out and hated it. I saw them open for Brockhampton and half the crowd was loving it and half absolutely hated it. I still hated it too. During quarantine I decided to listen to recommendations from my friends and they were still on the list. It was late at night at about 2 or 3 am and I absolutely loved the ENTIRE album. I wish I had appreciated when they were live in front of me.

honestly i didn't like the gec 2 u remix because it sounded different from their other music, and then as 100 gecs always does, it grows on you
this is weirdly the cleanest and smoothest running concert i’ve ever seen, the crowd is the perfect level of hype, the lighting and stuff is on point, and laura + dylan have the right stage energy.

I’ve been to a fair share of rock/metal/punk shows looking for those really engaged crazy crowds. I never really felt that crazy rush of adrenaline that I was looking for. However when I saw 100gecs. Never in my life did I go to show with so many mosh pits. The entire crowd was practically a mosh pit where even more intense pits would form. Everyone is also incredibly friendly and pretty everything is happening out of joy.
Very disappointed they didn’t play I need help immediately 😔🖤
