Well said. It's my belief that young peoples opinions are formed by the manipulation of the media. If a person is young, impressionable and has little life experience, they fall hook line and sinker for that manipulation. It's all about the "Feels" because they don't understand or recognize right vs. wrong, good vs. evil. Our schools are also to blame for teaching our students what to think but not how to think.

The first return to Zion was return to Israel after Babylonian ( Iraq) exile around 500bce +-.
Muslims have Mecca and Medina as their " Zion".
Religious Zionism began in 1700s long before Hertzel secular Zionism .
Their Quran says Israel 🇮🇱 43 times no Palestine in Quran.
Muhammad originally prayed towards Jerusalem before Mecca Kabba was built and never wrote anything about Palestine Palestinians.
Roman Emporor Hadrian renamed Israel Palestine after Philistines Assyrian Greeks not Arabs not Muslims after Bar Kochba rebellion against Rome by Jews was lost in 135ce.
Herotodus mention Palestina as a Assyrian Greek region not an Arab Islamic state.
Leftists live in stolen occupied lands from Native peoples in America Canada Australia New Zealand etc and tell us Jews we can't live in our ancestral home land Israel...

But ‘God’ didn’t give you ‘something’. You had to take it in a brutal genocide and occupation as recorded in Mitzvot #601: Not to keep alive any individual of the seven Canaanite nations (Deut. 20:16) (negative).
And Mitzvot #602: To exterminate the seven Canaanite nations from the land of Israel (Deut. 20:17) (affirmative).

@ we did as GOD commanded. We were a nation of slaves walking through the desert to reach a land wed never seen. On the way there we spurned GOD 10 times and he forgave us. And then we had one final test. One man from each of the 12 was to scout ahead and see what’s in the land. They scouted and returned. 10 of the 12 feared what lurked inside. They said they saw many people and even giants and they were too afraid to do as GOD commanded which was to enter Israel the next day. The people were scared of giants as anyone would be. They asked Moses if GOD would help them in this. They were too afraid to even realize that this omnipotent being that brought them out of Egypt and crushed pharaoh and saved them time and again in the desert did not do all this only to abandon them at journeys end.
Moses told the people that if we are to be a nation then we must fight! The only thing I don’t really understand in all this is that GOD said we were to be a nation of priests, serving him not as some form of slavery or “SUBMISSION” but because we loved and revered HIM. But how were we to become that nation of priests when we were surrounded and besieged by enemies? Enemies that did not believe in our GOD and wanted to destroy us because of it.
So back to the scouts and the people too scared to fight at GODs command. They scouted the land for 40 days. Finally GOD had enough and told them through Moses that he had forgiven them 10 times. Now he will punish them. No man over 20 will ever see Israel and they would wander the desert for 40 years, 1 year for each day they delayed doing HIS bidding.
After 40 years of wandering the desert, yes we had to kill.
GOD had his reasons, perhaps the reason for why we had to kill is known to us but I do not know it, id need to ask and perhaps there is no answer other than it was GODs will.
You lay out quotes from the testament. Do you challenge GODs design, or simply accuse us of genocide?
The Jews knew only the sting of rod and lash for centuries. Suddenly, a prince of Egypt comes to them and tells them that the creator of all things is about to send HIS sword against Egypt and pharaoh. And then they witness that sword in the plagues. They flee from Egypt only to be pursued by their tormentors once again. And the creator they just met stops Egypt in their tracks, parts the Red Sea, the Jews cross it and Egypt follows and is smashed and drowned by the same sea.
Now let’s skip towards the “genocide” part. Do not forget that the creator is also the destroyer. After wandering the desert for 40 years we did not dare refuse HIM again. We did as commanded. So again I ask you, is your quarrel with GOD or with his servants?
And what are you? Actually it doesn’t matter. I am tired of proving how silly it is to believe in Qutham and his Quran. But I will say this, we know Muslims believe they are supposed to kill us.
Now here is our law. The law of the Torah and the true word of GOD. “If you know someone is out to murder you, you better make damn sure you do everything within your power to kill them first and never give them the chance.” That is literally the law of GOD, as in if we do not obey we will be punished!
Now I do not know what Netanyahus next move is. Personally, I would let Jericho fly and turn Tehran into a parking lot. I would mourn the deaths of the innocents but I would have fulfilled my duty as per the word of GOD. Netanyahu is much smarter however and he will get the job done without resorting to WMDs. I just hope Israeli lives are not lost in this upcoming attack promised by Iran to be tooth-breaking. Luckily, we are not dogs and do not need teeth to kill our enemies.
Anyway it’s the same old story only this time we have power to defend ourselves. As always those who curse us will be cursed and those who bless us will be blessed.
Oh right the election. Iran is now threatening America as well. They have threatened trumps life personally, and now they threaten both Israel with devastation. The only thing that could mean is a nuclear bomb. Perhaps they have some ready. I highly doubt Russia or China would be foolish enough to give it to them. Then again, who knows. Either way it seems that trump wants to come to Iran to talk peace. If the enemy was just a regular enemy such as say North Korea? I’d say it may work. But to try and make peace with the Ayatollah is a fools errand. He will be dead soon anyway and probably doesn’t mind bringing many along with him.

    • @pavelp9887
      @pavelp9887 3 місяці тому +1

@ oh right one more thing I forgot to mention. After we took Israel, king David had to Wade through blood to defend it and the people. His endless wars stained his hands with so much blood he could not build the temple. But this was not his choice. King David wanted to build the temple and serve and be close to GOD. GOD wanted king David to be a part of the temple anyway and told him to pick up a shovel and lay the foundation so that he would always be a part of it and his son king Solomon would finish building it.
King Solomon was not a warrior king like his father. He was a priest and he realized that he could avoid and end all these wars simply but marrying his enemies daughters. King Solomon ended up with 80 princess wives, what a pain! But at least he was able to build the temple and learn and be close to GOD.
The Jews of Israel fought countless wars after that. Some they won, some they lost.
This is what I do not understand. GOD came to every tribe and people and offered them them the covenant before coming to the Jews. Obviously he knew the Jews would receive it but asked all the others first as they had free will to choose and so there would be no hard feelings after.
All of them knew they were in the presence of the creator HE made it clear to them and offered them the covenant. All of them refused it, they knew they would not be able to keep the laws and would be punished. One tribe would not be able to stop stealing and so they Would be punished and did not accept. Another tribe loved bacon and did not accept. You get the idea, they did not want to be punished by the creator of the universe.
It seems we Jews were the only ones smart enough to take up that mantle :)
People say “chosen” like oh they think they’re soo cool 😎 they was”chosen.” Chosen yes but for what? To lord it over everyone else and tell them how much cooler we are? No, in fact that is also against GODs laws. We were CHOSEN to SERVE. It’s that simple. I don’t know why it’s so hard for people to let us do that. The Jews literally never wanted to hurt anyone or even hurt anyone’s feelings all they wanted to do was live and serve their master that sent his sword that sent the plagues and parted the seas and smashed the armies and also punished us, a lot.
Jews must keep 613 laws. Gentiles need only keep 7 and they will end up in the same place with us in heaven.
Anyway, people have always been either dumb or insane or just pure evil. We will never be enlightened as a species. We will never create a utopian world without wars or murder or even the need for currency. Perhaps it is because we only get to use 10% of our brain power. Or perhaps it is because some of us feel that we can take the one thing the creator made that is more complex than the universe itself, which is human life and extinguish it, as if they had created it.
This has been happening since cane killed able.
GOD cleansed the world of filth and started clean with Noah and even now, thousands of years later we still killing each other.
And the craziest part of it all is that the Jews an Arabs are cousins. Oh well, we shall see what the future holds, if we’re even lucky enough to have one because we damn sure don’t appreciate what GOD has done up until this point in time. The earth is 4.5 billion years old and that’s just our ball of rock. We are but a blip in time, will we come together and attempt to extend that time or destroy other tomorrow with nuclear weapons? There have been 31 extinction events that we know of. Perhaps the only reason humanity is still here is because GOD promised we would always be.

    The Mountains Of The Lord
His mountains shall be above all mountains,
His house above Zion's hills shall rest,
For this is the pool of the golden fountain,
His people, the chosen few and best.
The rivers will flow to the shores of Zion,
For the world will soon know this King,
The proven Master we could rely on,
    The Shepherd worthy above everything.
His exalted name will be widely praised,
When He returns to vanquish the beast,
And everywhere voices will be raised
In celebration with His banquet feast.
Let fair warning go throughout the land
He will return with shield and sword
And as Satan shall take his last stand,
My Friend shall show that He is Lord.

Simcha -- you are extraordinarily well researched given your line of work.
    Notwithstanding -- two points.
    One
Orthodox Hasidic Yakov Shapiro from Queens explains Jews have no tie to Israel.
Among other things biblical historians study.
    Two
Most Americans are not racist or "anti Jewish.". Very few people will complain that Moses was wrong or God didn't talk to him or Abraham is bad or any of that.
Most Americans dislike the cocky, defensive attitude of NEW YORKERS whose grandparents immigrated.
Who have an arrogance and big mouths, big opinions, big NOSES, etc.
My point is... When most pick on Jewish Americans, it's about behavior generalities... NOT about the actual original religion in the Old Testament.

Jewish nationalism started in the 1840's, just like all nationalism in Europe. An outcome of the French revolution was nationalism. Before that, ALL the European areas were ruled by duchies, kingdoms and empires. Jewish people mainly did not have any rights as citizens and were quick to embrace nationalism as a remedy for their defenseless and vulnerable position in Eastern Europe. Herzl was just the first to formalize the movement politically, but many tens of thousands of jews had migrated to the holy land over the preceding decades. The term "Palestine" only became used, instead of the traditional Holy Land or province of Jerusalem, when the British eyed the territory for their planning to conquer arabia from the ottomans, extending their Egyptian position to the Aden and the gulf.

You should read the Bible better Abrahams father Terach left the Cassadine empire to return to his ancestral home, which the Hebrew documents say his ancestors were kicked out of by Canaanites which is why the real name of Israel in the Bible is the Hebrew land

No actual or archeological for the Exodus but I agree with the historical and cultural connection the Jews have with Israel and support its right to exist. Also the existence of Israel is consistent with the ideal of self-determination for nationalities.

As much as the attack on Zionism is unfair and anti-Semitic, on a deeper level it is necessary for us to move past Zionism to the next stage of Israel’s development, something closer to Hebrew Universalism, as we saw in the (difficult) transition from Shaul HaMeleh to David HaMeleh.

When a historian uses past events to evaluate current political issues or even to serve political agendas, it raises ethical concerns related to historical scholarship. History, when studied accurately and objectively, helps societies understand the present and learn from past mistakes to make better decisions. However, some historians may use history's influence to interpret current political events through a personal or ideological lens.
In this context, history can shift from being an objective source of knowledge to becoming a tool for current political agendas. Selective interpretation may highlight certain aspects of historical events while ignoring others, leading to potential bias or even misrepresentation of historical facts.
Historians have a responsibility to write history independently of personal beliefs, analyze events objectively, and, when evaluating current issues, contextualize historical events appropriately. If history is used to support specific political ideologies, it contradicts the principle of impartiality and limits society's right to understand the past accurately.
The ethical duty of historians is to convey the past as it was and approach current events from a separate, objective perspective. This distinction is essential for a well-informed understanding of both history and contemporary issues.
