Logically I can’t understand WHY facing the wand down would look different than facing up, BUT this video was life changing. This method made my hair look like a fresh bouncy blow dry vs tight combed out curls. So happy I came across this… never using the airwrap any other way than this 🙏🏻👏🏼 🙌🏻
Yes and its suppose to hold the curl longer! 😊
But the other way is soooo much easier which is the whole point of the airwrap, then you just brush the tight curl out
, which gives amazing volume. So I’d carry on doing it that way. I don’t think there is a CORRECT way to use it. Whatever is easier and works best for each individual. X
I use to hold it upright and the reason why people hold it downwards is because it holds the curl longer. It's perfect cause then I dont have to do tocuhups the next day 😊

100% yes! I've been using it this way ever since I got mine 3 years ago. The curls are SO much nicer, more uniform, and don't look like hair sausages 😂
I think the way you are doing it is more a tight wave than an actual curl. The first way is a curl and honestly the curls fall into waves soon enough

Can you pls let me know how did you do this? I bought my dyson airwrap and not working for me. So you hair should be a little bit damped when u use ur dyson? What setting do you use? Do you put it on maximum (3 dots)? and do you use the cold or heat when u curl your hair? Before using ur dyson, do u apply the bumble and bumble invisible oil heat protectant? Then you use gisou hair oil after curling ur hair? Please try to explain it further.

Warning it is VERY dependent on hair type length... I have long soft fine strand but a lot of hair and it does nothing for me , I’ve used it sooo many diff ways now and curls fall out. I’m sad I was gifted it and wanted it to work on me so badly. So just saying it’s not the same for everyone’s hair type.

@@meenalpa tbh i just catch the curls and use a hair pin, leave them for about an hour (more like 20 mins bc impatient) then hairspray when I unpin them 😋 it massively depends on hair type etc, my hairs thick n long

Def try it makes a difference! And I’m spraying my heat protectant spray it’s the bumble and bumble invisible oil heat protection spray! 💛 it works really well!

i think the upside down method may be better for like 50s hair/hollywood waves
Do you use the same barrel throughout? and is there any reason you have to hold it upside down?
Yes I use the same barrel! But, for some reason it changes the curl completely then u hold it upside down.
@@AmiElena I think it’s because you wrap it manually when you hold it upside down, but you could wrap it the same way (manually) holding it upright.
Personally I like it upright better. It doesn’t look like “quinceañera” curls if you style it correctly. Those curls are not meant to stay like that, I mean if that’s how you like your curls, do you 😂 but literally all you’d have to do is comb through your hair, and those tight curls will loosen.

I do not! I was wondering if when you buy it can u please do a slick straight low ponytail tutorial with a lot of hairspray then spray the hair perfume on afterwards?

Yeah you could do it that way! However, it TOTALLY defeats the whole purpose of the air wrap?? Like why pay all that when your just curling it like a regular iron…?
For the steady heat and less damage. Long run it’s cheaper rather than having to apply masks/treatments from damage from regular curling wand.
