- The CRF150L is an underpowered trail bike BUT why is it so popular among the local offroad enthusiasts?
find out why.

I have had mine now for six months and I have a little over 2,000 miles on it, almost all on winding steep cement mountain roads. Every time I go out to my car port I ask myself "Why did I buy this thing?" But 30 minutes into every ride I have this big smile on my face! I love driving this thing, especially around sharp corners, up and down steep roads. I think I will keep it.
I’m considering buying one primarily for the rougher mountains roads in south Cebu where the ADV just won’t cut it ! Nice review thx 🙏
I bought a new one, December 4, 2023. So far I really like it. I do not do much off road but I do a lot of winding steep up and down mountain roads and I find that it handles really good. Powerful enough for me as I am an old guy and never go very fast anyway. The engine has a persistent rattling noise, but I am told that this is normal.
Mine too has rattling noise at high speed. It's annoying to hear but that's normal for CRF150L.
Thanks for the review. My CB150 Verza shares the same engine and (some) parts with this CRF150L, so I'm planning to buy this one to save myself the hassle of finding parts lol.
Very wise move my friend. 👍👍
nice review manoy
Cool 😎
Very cool
Pinoy here but currently living in laos. I bought this bike 2 months ago, and boy oh boy I'm loving it. I always took the chance to use it whether buying something from the store 20 meters from the house or moving it around the garage because of the sun's heat😅
Kuya @TheManoy66_, nagamit mo na po sya pang trail?
A bike that, even though, is small but makes up for it with low price and maintenance level. Entry level bikers with low budget are offered the most reliable tool to fulfill their foremost priority, miles and hours of riding.
Addding the Yoshi pipe...
Does it add much performance?
Need tuning to pipe?
Are they noisy?
I Have That XR200 same on the video should I replace it with this CRF150L? what do u think sir? I used it as a dual sport only not for trail
Its up to you. Personally i would keep the XR200 if its still in great condition. But if your old bike is giving you more headaches then consider the CRF150L as a replacement.
Nice review brother! Moving to the province close to GenSan soon and I'm thinking pretty seriously about the crf 150. Cool to pick your mind on it a bit?
I'm 6'6 210 lbs, my gal is 4'10 about 85 lbs. Think we can ride this together? We'll be doing alot of dirt road riding and don't want to bottom out. You mention this is a popular bike there, is there an option you know of to get a more comfy seat?
I'm pretty new to motorcycles and not looking for a powerhouse, just a good dual sport that can carry us both, reliable, easy on gas, good size tank and fuel injected preferably. If this doesn't seem like a good fit anything else you would recommend?
Thanks for the advice, it is appreciated 👍
Hey brother. For a guy your size i think the 150L is too tiny. I recommend the 250 or 300L. The size and weight of those bikes are manageable for a guy like you and the power delivery is easy for newer riders.
@@TheManoy66 Thank you kindly, I appreciate your insight🙂
Thank you for sharing.
While P150k is a lot of money for a 150cc bike. We should not overlook the fact that this is the most affordable on/off road motorbike with fuel injection, fuel guage, inverted front fork, and front/rear disc brakes.
Does the Philippine version has option for flat rear carrier like the XR150L?
what can you recommend for supermoto project crf150l vs xr200?
Either of the 2 is ok. But i would recommend a 250 🔥
@@TheManoy66 ok salamat sa fast reply
Thanks for the review. Thinking about buying one in Cebu. Price tag currently 152.000 peso. Too high or did the prices rise over the last 10 month? Thanks in advance!
Depends on where you buy but the differences are minimal. Have you checked the used market? Some go as low as 75k depending on condition though.
147k currently in ncr
Hello! fan from cdo here. Thanks sa review. Unsa na Yoshi pipe ni naka taod? Salamat sa pag tubag 😅
Yosh slip on system ra. Pong sa owner iya g order from shoppee. So far nindot man og build quality and nindot pod og sound. 👍
Okay, I'm 34 and have never been on a bike in my life but want to learn. Is this a good starter?
Yes! Learning to ride a motorcycle offroad is the best way. I suggest you check my video on the XR150L. Similar configuration but a bit more comfortable in terms of ergonomics.
@@TheManoy66 thank you. I just looked up that model. Seems the best fit for me.
Great, now I want to play DOOM. Thanks for the straight forward info
Lol i thought no one would notice. 😅😅
I choose between this and XR150L, i did get the XR150L instead, because i dont do trail i just need like a comfortable utilitarian bike that can tackle most of the road here as even in the city there are tons of pothole :), plus the flood issue on rainy season, but i do hope Honda keep the XR200 design concept on the honda xr150L
How's the fuel consumption? Ty
@@vanm727 i travel on mixed city traffic, highway & even tons of uphill as i cross some roads across mountains, im getting between 40 to 43 kmpl
Xr150l or crf150l ,which is better?
Watch my video covering that subject. 😉
Sir Manoy66, first video I saw of yours I loved & as I saw the palm trees along w/ your english dialect I was really hoping to find
you in the continental usa ? I know, I know, you ain't here but as you span across you shop I see you putting together bikes of
all types but you aren't limited by standard recommended upgrades. To the contrary, you "punk" bikes as if they was a bitch &
I mean nothing disparaging against bikes/bitch's since I love them both ! That said, you've got a unique "eye" for upgrades to
give added performance plus they just LQQK good. You've got a flair for making people's bike look hip as sH!T !! Anyhoo, I do
like this little bike but have no idea what I'm gonna buy. I got 3-4 months to decide & I'll be watching you. I really wish that you
were here, I'd feel great about dropping a bike off & know it would perform great & look great too. I'll be back later. TY much
Xlr 250 rfvc please bro 🥺
I made a video about the RFVC XR250 awhile ago 😉
its great they still make motorcycles that are not for wankers
Who's better Crf150R or Crf 150L???
Depends on what you will be using them for. Both are capable offroad and easy to maintain. I personally would go for the XR because the seat is better.
Thank you for giving me an idea for a future video. 😉
