    Top 5 Push Up Variations | Can YOU Do # 4?
    The best thing about the simplicity of a pushup is the ability to vary the type easily and get a different burn. Instead of always doing a basic pushup, try some of our variations below:
    Top 5 Push Up Variations
    1. DECLINE PUSH UP
    This pushup is done by putting your feet up on a bench behind you while putting your hands on the floor in front of you. The decline pushup is great for shoulders and your upper chest. The difficulty isn't as high as the others, so this is a great starting point for your pushup journey!
    2. DIAMOND PUSH UPS
    Put your hands together and form a diamond by touching your thumbs and index fingers. You are going to line up your chest with the "diamond". Lower your chest until you touch the diamond and come back up to the starting position. This one is a burner for the triceps.
    3. CLAP PUSH UPS
    This pushup is pretty self explanatory. You must explode during your pushup to bring your hands off the ground and clap them together. After the clap they should return immediately to the pushup position in one flow. This pushup will force you to be more explosive and powerful. A great pushup in my book!
    4. ONE HANDED PUSH UPS
    Place one hand behind your back and lower yourself down with one arm. This is incredibly difficult and should be practiced in an incline fashion against a wall before it is done on the ground. This pushup will force you to stabilize yourself and doubles the intensity on the weight bearing arm.
    5. ARCHER PUSH UPS
    Performing a pushup with a wider hand base. Lowering your body towards one side at a time, you are going to have one arm in more of a tricep push up with the other arm in a chest fly. Alternate one side at a time.
