The thing you didn't remember the name for that goes inside of the pipe is called a stopper. If you want the tiny little cymbal to have a bit more "humph" to it, try unscrewing the screw that goes through the center of the cymbal so it can wiggle just a little bit more. This will let it ring just enough to make a nice balance between the other instruments and still have it be audible! I thought the name "doinger" fit the cymbal striker perfectly 😂
I would love to see the restoration of the organ pipes please. I love your videos. You have a great personality. I would love to meet you and talk player pianos.
I just found your channel and it was most likely the fastest Subscribe to a channel. I remembering seeing my first ever player piano was in a museum. It didn't work (Run), but still. But the most crazy player organ I saw was a pipe organ at the Roaring 20s in Florida. It was huge and loud and had a hold bunch of other instruments that would play alone with the organ. And as a kid it felt more magical then Disney. Sad that it closed, but at lest (As I have read) the organ was moved to California. Player Pianos will always be magical to me.
Thanks for being here!

Thanks for the tips! I'll have to try that. Part of the cymbal sound issue is definitely my lack of editing skills at play.
@@nateoutsidethevacuum Probably not your editing skills, your videos are edited quite well actually!
That's kind of you! I'm still getting the hang of it though.

Microwaving wood, never expected to see that nor for it to work.
The microwave is great for smaller glue joints.
