I’m so glad you guys are safe. My daughter, son-in-law live in Georgia. They had no damage to the house but lost all of their food. They had now electricity for over a week. They just got internet back today. My son-in-law is a high school teacher and my daughter is a special education teacher assistant at the same school. They went back to school yesterday. My granddaughter is in first grade.
Katie, It is what it is. I complained and got off of it occasionally back when I was a young autistic school student. But I eventually came around to it thanks to some learning toys and practice at home. You cannot spell the word school without the letter s in struggle. Keep working with them no matter what they do and they will get better eventually. Please keep us updated. I am glad that you are safe. - Dwight
I have that same T-Shirt. I also have that robot pencil sharpener. I glued googly eyes on it and we call him Matt. I love teaching text features and text structures. In the past we had text structures operation. The students wore surgical scrubs gloves and masks then cut the text features out and glued them on the life size body cut out.
It's such a great shirt! Hobby Lobby out did themselves this summer haha! The googly ideas are SUCH a cute idea! 👀 And I love the transformation activity for text features! Thanks for sharing!
Hi. I've been watching because I'm in Florida too. Hope you get through the storm safely. I'm in Central Florida near Orlando. I did have a question. We also use Lexia but I am new to it. What comprehension are you using for Lexia?
Glad you are safe. I don't want to be selfish I was wobering could you link he text feature resource you used. I like the text feature activity you are doing with Scholastic Magazine. Thank you. Alicia from CT
Can you do a video over your folder with your spelling words/fluency passages or whatever it is in them? Also, now that you are departmentalized like me, what does your schedule look like and have you been able to do small groups?
Gosh and now another storm. Praying for you all again. Great vlog ❤. Your students are blessed to have you.
Thank you so much 🫶
I hope you, your hubby and all in your community stay safe! ❤

@@mrs_katie_in_elementary you’re welcome. The pencil sharpener is chargeable so you can carry it on your cart or take it to the student! It’s fun!
So glad you are safe. ❤❤
