THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. AT MY LEVEL OF JAZZ ABILITY, THIS WAS VERY HELPFUL. Too many other piano vids are a guy that wants to show off how wonderful he is. YOU ARE VERY HELPFUL !!!!! You've given pearls that we can practice & expand on. TY !!!!
you have really helped me improve my playing. still using your major/minor 6 video to help me with progressions. you definitely need more subscribers on this channel than you're getting!!
Glad it was helpful! I believe you're a jazz skills member so I have the one you mentioned and probably more. Take a look at the Turnarounds webinars :)
Thank you Sean!! I thought maybe you were going to get into chromatic bass movement with tritone subs of I vi ii V. I love Eb to D to Db to C. Probably another lesson?
I am getting the idea, but my fingers and brain just can’t follow with all this voicings going on all over the place. Any way to learn how to do voicings without thinking?
I would practice voicings in isolation in V I or II V I progressions, SLOWLY. 🙂 I find that it's natural for most students to rush, trip over and not get fluent because they go quickly for the bits they like and slow down for the parts they don't. Try and slow down to the speed of the hardest part and go from there.
This is a wonderful channel!!!
You are de best teacher ever.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the sound of substituting the iii7 for the 1maj7.

Thanks another really helpful video...there's no better start to a day than a coffee and a Jazz skills video.
Brilliant Robin! Perhaps I need my own morning radio show to start your morning right 😀
They may be basic, but they work really well. A lot of bang for your buck for us newbies!
Can’t thank you enough.. God bless you.
Glad it helped
Stellar presentation
Super helpful, thank you! I like the I i#dim ii V substitution very much too. I guess you wanted to keep it simple rather than be "exhaustive".

Thanks Bruce. Yes, that's for another time. People would pick me up on the word "simple" if I did that in this one. 🙂
@@JazzSkills yes Sean you’ve got to be careful what you say. Haha 😆 what a world. Thank you for all you give!!
Bruce

what keyboard are you using?
The keyboard is a Yamaha stage piano triggering samples from the computer.
@@JazzSkills Thank you!
