- This is a compilation of some of the best and worst Skills with Phil moments of 2022 and 2023. Watch this while you're riding the trainer, on a date, or just looking to kill 1.5 hours for no good reason.
Thanks for a great season, there will be plenty more bumbling to come in 2024!

**facepalm** It should be Mount "Prevost" not Provost, I'm sure nobody will read this comment and let me know I spelled it wrong. :P
You spelled prevost wrong Phil 👀
You can spell it any way you’d like! I’m more interested in watching you ride!
Lets just prentend Its provost because thats where the pros go
Phil you are the Jimi Hendrix of mountain biking. Jimi used to do things with his guitar that shouldn’t have been possible and you are so good you do things on a mountain bike that shouldn’t be possible! If anyone has trouble getting out of bed in the morning they should just watch this video!
You said it better than anyone mate!! 🤘🏼
at least he doesn't play with his bike upside down...
Bike upside down line is hilarious!
I saw Jimi play 3 times in 1968, and I met him at a club the same year. He would have come up with a whole new set of sounds after seeing this!
That's some high quality bumbling
Ultra High Definition bumbling
Don’t let Pinkbike see you bumble so hard 😂
I can't believe you've listed them all below the video with links... Phil! Your attention to detail is enviable! Thank you for a great season too - love your work dude!! 🔥🤘🏼🙏🏼
Just trying to make referencing the original video easier for people. It's a lot easier for me to remember what clips came from what video :)
@@SkillsWithPhil are they in chronological order..? 😉 (Btw this was a full evening movie session - and one of the best!) 🙏🏼
"Heads up Neko... never mind"
As soon as I saw that clip i went straight to the comments 😂
Ha, "bumbling and fumbling"! LOL Most of us wish we could bumble and fumble as good as you! 🤣 One of my favorite things I noticed in this video is how during all the actual races hearing all the young kids yell your name and cheer you on! Just goes to show the impression you've made on young riders! That's so rad. Loved this. 🤙
I appreciate your ability to alter line choice and make areas more challenging while you’re “waiting” for others and not interrupt their flow. Always putting your skill set in challenge mode! And your giggles and laughter when you teeter on the edge and approach your technical limits is almost childlike and completely honest and inviting. I do mean this in the best way possible. I too find myself laughing out loud when the trail gets gnarly and I get a touch “over the line”. It’s an expression of pure joy leaking out for all to see!
Aww yes perfect video to watch and listen to while working. Just Phil talking to me while hearing the tires rolling over the dirt, my happy place! I really appreciate the lack of stupid non copyright music on your videos makes it a lot more enjoyable to listen and watch
This shit's so good i'ma watch it in a private tab
i know youll probably never read this, but you inspired me to the point i went and got a trek so i can get into things. gonna be heading to highland and loon in NH this season, all thanks to you brother! ive learned a lot watching your highland lines, you think youll check out loon this season?
cheers brother, keep shredding
You barreling down Whistler to get in time for your judging down the hill is still one of your best vids. So fast but not forcing yourself past other riders is an example of your riding style and character. Keep it up and some more Hailey rides would be nice too
thanks for the inspiration phil, i hope to one day bumble down trails as you do!
you ride like a maniac bro. in a good way haha. thx for sharing
Phil, thank you for the years of videos, bike lessons and laughs.
Love this kind of content, just pure relaxation
I haven't even watched it but it already looks like the best video ever
Phil's one of the very best! Thanks for sharing dude!!!
I really do love watching you ride, and love how you talk about what you are doing, your energy is the best 😊
You send it every time, you got skills man. Fun to watch to 👍🏾
Adrenaline is like a 9/10 just watching this in my office chair (especially the race parts), which has now become something like the Clockwork Orange chair :)
Phil "I make my own trails" Kmetz!
Hey Phil, Any Trips Coming up soon? Love your vids.
i don't know how you hit berms at such a high speed at such a bad angle but its beautiful to watch
Your skills on first time ridden trails is amazing! Bonus points for the off to the side "phil lines" that you always seem to to take.
Loved the blind "What is this?" sections. Phil doing Phil things😆
Terrifying! Exhilarating! Ridiculous! Insane! Inspirational! Am I leaving anything out? Be Well and Prosper, my friend, and please stay in one piece!
My palms were sweating just watching this.
one day ill be able to ride like you do, adapt and overcome obstacles on the fly!
Some crazy lines and some gnarly bails good stuff man
This the best footage of mtb I have ever seen...And I watch a ton of content. Been sending it to everyone. Phil you are an inspiration as a fellow New Englander.
05:12 "Never mind, you are good" :D
Yoo phil, i see that you didn’t upload in a while. Hope you doing just fine. Came here to thank you because 2 years ago youre videos made me DH for the first time. And i must say this is one of the best things i ever done in life and get so much pleasure out of it. Thank you man, keep up the good work
this was the perfect video to watch on the trainer, cheers Phil
Epic video my guy! Hope to ride with you again someday! PS just watched you reading some mean mustache comments…😂 Bring it back!!!
why is this so calming to watch
Amazing scenery
If you're bumbling...then I don't know what I'm doing hahaha
Phil you are by far the most entertaining mtb UA-camr there is, bar none!
Holy shit!!!!! you’re so good mountain bike as playmakers 💩🚲💨💨💨💨 damn champion BADASS!!!!!
Some of the best pov footage out there...why am I not surprised?
I wouldn’t call this bumbling, I would call it ripping 🤘🤘
Depends on who you ask :P
5:13 LOL 😂
LOL love the title. High quality shitpost right there.
That’s some impressive bumbling!…almost good enough to upload it to the internet…😂
Very Cool video, Phil...
Nice reflex.
nice & cool!
Crash & burn content is the Best !!!😊😊😊
The blind insanity drop at Ted’s in San Diego is insane.
Phumbling™
You might even be better than jeff kendall weed. You are both incredible.
I am strangely comforted in knowing that even Phil Kmetz lays down the bike sometimes.
Hahah I love it.
Best of wrecks
Love the title hahaha
😂 He wasn't referring to you!
🙁 Some scary crashes!
I could watch you ride (and fall) all day lol! Great work and vids! Did you end up breaking your wrist on that one fall? Hope not!
The X-ray wasn't super conclusive, the doc said was a spot that looked a possible bone fragment. I was back to very light riding 4weeks after but I dealt with wrist pains for almost half a year afterwards. It definitely was tweaked, but it was probably more of sprain which can actually take longer to heal.
Hey Phill here from 🇦🇷 Argentina just wondering when is the snow going away so you can start uploading some more awesome videos?
Hell yeah
Yo Phil with skills !
MAGNIFICENT!! KEEP IT UP MAN....BEST MTB VIDEOS ONLINE. PERIOD! I have to believe the title is a reference to Pinkbike's ASININE video poking fun at most UA-camrs' videos as worthless content that is usually a hack rider "bumbling" down the trail. Meanwhile, one of the people making that ridiculous assertion was Henry, who raced that one Enduro race while he was at GMBN, and crashed about 20 feet out of the starting gate (which they replayed OVER and OVER, which was great). Having him make that statement was one of the most ironic things ever, and greatly diminished Pinkbike's credibility with me. Video after video of dirt jumps with Pros doing tricks I never aspire to doesn't interest me in the slightest. They all look the same after awhile. Someone blitzing down trails I might ride one day and trying to gap things that most people wouldn't even think to try....THAT is interesting to me! Thanks for all of the years of amazing content!!
BTW....when are you coming to Bentonville to ride? You and Haley should come for the Bentonville BikeFest May 23-26. I can put you in touch with the people who could arrange for free lodging etc., if that's something that interests you. You're one of the few big UA-camrs who haven't visited, and I think it would be awesome to see you riding our trails, and I know all the Festival goers would love to meet you.
Would like to have seen you at Redbull Hardline Tasmania 😅
Just got my 1st MTB. And of course I'm sick. Couldn't help myself and took it on a green run. Low grade temp. No big deal. Today I'm resting up and watching this entire video. 2 questions.
1) did you end up breaking your wrist? Not sure the time stamp when you said you think it's broken.
2) I notice you're always on your bike not rentals. How do you travel with it? Bike bag with wheels for the airplane?
thumbs up for the title.
How this man isn't wrapped around a tree is beyond me. Amazing riding.
Hey Phil, i wanna start doing the stuff you do but im only 13 with no money at all. How do you think i should start? I only have a Walmart mountain bike with a really bad suspension. I wanna get a good mountain bike like the ones you have but i know they cost at least 2,500. Do you think I could modify the Walmart bike to make it better over time? If so what should I add?
You fumblin bumblin ramblin man
Phil are you still alive why aren’t you posting
2:44 good splice!
You caught me! The OG video has no splice, but for the sake of this video I wanted it to be continuous.
I watched this on a date like the description said and she left almost immediately. That’s ok tho Phil is way better anyway!
Just remember " Bumbels bounce !"
We're did you go to school I live in Brattleboro and go to bams I love watching your videos in my free time I just started endero MTB
What gloves do you wear Phil?
For some stretches of these trails, calling them a trail is a bit of a stretch 😏
Bad Ass….. 😮
Do you use a mix of chest and chin mounts? I feel like some of these segments have a bit higher of a perspective but I cannot tell enough to be sure.
It's all chin. I have everything marked, but sometimes the camera get bumped without me noticing until too late. I also have two helmets that i use, the lighter weight enduro helmet will sometimes droop down a bit due to the weight of the camera if I'm not wearing goggles.
Thanks, I just recently got a decent full face and a GoPro and wasn’t sure what way to go.
If you can only pick one spot to ride in north America as a high level rider where would be your first trip be ? i like it all tech, flow , drops-jumps . Thanks loves the videos
PNW/BC is the undisputed winner, but I'd argue but my runners up would be Western NC and then Quebec/New England are also worth considering.
But I'm heavily biased towards places that have a bit wetter climates than say Colorado and Utah.
@@SkillsWithPhil thanks for answering i am in Ontario and thinking of go to BC or Quebec i have hiked at both but not ride . if i only have enough money for one trip your saying BC . good to know
In your situation definitely. Air Canada has great bike rates and there are shuttles from the Vancouver airport to Whistler. You could spend a whole month in Vancouver, Squamish, or Whistler and still barely scratch the surface of each area and then there's dozens of other places. It's mind blowing how much more riding there is out there.
heads up niko!!!! nvm ur good...
Bro, the initial highlights has a good number of OTB clips.
Riding the stationary bike while after work tryjng to get to my high school weight while saving up to fix my bikes that hopefully won't stay stationary too long. Daughter in college and busy at work to pay for it all... Lord Jesus help me!😊
😮
Early for me late for others
2:14
Where tha fook have you been?
Hibernating. There's over 16 inches of snow on the ground.
@@SkillsWithPhil okay:) just checking in on ya. Everyone misses you
27.5" or 29"?
Hi how is it going
LOL @ 5:12
Obligatory voice crack 😅
@@SkillsWithPhil haha it's just the fact that you were getting ready to pass and then you crash right at that moment!
Are you wearing plot armor? How in tf is any of that doable?
Respectable bumbling
moin Phil! Komme gerade vom Forstamt in Minden....kein gutes Gepräch.
Who came up with this stuff 😅
BUMBLEGATE LIVES!!!!! BUMBLE THE PLANET FELLOW BUMBLERS!
Just doing my part :P
omg 💯
that was awesome!
👍😁
