I do use them, they are a great time/arm saver, but you do have to be careful around plastic trim, the non bristle part of the brush will scratch soft surfaces.
I'd say it entirely depends on the quality and harshness of the drill brush. It can definately screw up your carpet/fabric, but to my experience, thats only when its harsh.
I used the softest white drill brush on my wife’s 2015 Honda Covid seat. I wasn’t using it aggressively at all and some of the stitching got damaged on the seat. I’ve been scared to use it ever since. I don’t know what happened or if it was just the type of fabric/stitching.
Just be careful on the edges as you can burn the carpet with the friction from the fast moving plastic top or your drill. For the tight corners or hard to reach spots pull out your trusty ibrid nano that has the brush that comes in the kit to knock those spots out. Also when i finish extracting the carpet i blow it out with compressed air into a rag to get any of those tight spots or as much moisture you can incase your extractor did not get it
I would really like to see theragcompany create their own drill brush attachment different to whats available online something that even drill brush haters can agree works absolutely amazingly well, or a duel action hook and loop carpet brush I've liked the idea of using a da for carpets but the products available for duel action carpet brushes is severely limited
Nothing on the planet is perfect .. that's life. Drill brush can slings a lot product everywhere ,and on some carpets.like "impossible carpet" witch now is present not only on cheap cars but also on more expensive, or on some fabrics, the stiff yellow or red brushes if course can cause problems, ... but...thats life....
@@NickVetter 😄😄😄I don't spend much time on them since watch them 2x speed. I'll get a cordless one as soon as I need it. It's like an extractor, you don't necessarily need an extractor when you clean upholstery and carpets on a vehicle.
Dude that Ford carpet is awful, I couldn't even vacuum using a crevice tool without damaging the carpet in the Escape I had. The back of my mom's Flex is the same way. I ended up getting a Honda Element with no carpet and it's amazing.
Haha! You’re selling it because YOU finally gave in? Funny. .. Meanwhile, the rest of us kind of knew it was helpful. Glad you are enjoying it now though.
Other people who work here were using them on their own time and enjoying them, but you have to admit his concerns weren't unfounded. It's just a matter of the risk you're willing to tolerate when working on certain surfaces. Additionally, in this video he makes it clear that he's okay with the drill brush in it's *softer* forms-- A Lot of the drill brushes we see used in tiktoks, etc are the *really* hard kind where someone doesn't care about long-term damage and just wants the stronger results for their content.
Glad we could convert you to giving them a shot 😂 it’s all about time saving. Appreciate the plug
Thanks for giving it a second chance, it is all about using the tools properly and adapting to the needs of the surface.
I grew up in carpet mills in northwest GA and the white drill brush rules! I’m glad your selling them online!
Understanding how and when to use your detailing tools is valuable lesson.
Work smarter.
With all those hand “polishing” jobs he will be doing, Im glad to see him giving himself a little break from the arduous repetitive labor.
Drill brush plus steam cleaner plus chemical equals amazing combination
It takes a big man to confess when he's wrong !

Welcome to modern day detailing!
Staff confessions is the hot new series.
What if you do not have a pressure washer?
I’ll be honest, this is not the dark room confession I was expecting from Anthony

Any plans to sell wholesale boxes through distributors?
They have the option! If you inquire with your local distributor, I bet they would be willing to get you a box.
@@JB_TRCthat’s awesome to here
Is it safe to use…you know, down there? 🧐
Called it.

Ain't gonna lie, seeing the door flying towards the camera, I shit myself a little
Those lights are siiiick...
I think it only makes sense if you are doing spectacular dirty carpets
We totally agree! Luckily we all keep our cars clean, so we had to turn to our local junk yard for examples to utilize the drill brush.
Nice!!
Such is life. I still don't have a cordless drill so I don't worry about it and do it with my normal corded one.😄😄
Get a cordless one. The amount of time you spend on detailing videos, I'm sure it will be worth it, and they are pretty cheap.

If you have to scrub the 'dirty carpet' with that much effort before you 'do a deep dive' on it, maybe find a better carpet beforehand 😉
He’ll ya you were
The only problem i have had using a drill brush is on especially cheap carpet *cough Ford cough*

Now he sells them. Next is a video on how he didn't belive in soap.

Jack reacher confessing that the drill brush is actually a good tool is so beautiful 🥲 lol all jokes aside I love the drill brush too
