This is THE Miguel song. It definitely was a single, which is why it has so many views/listens. The lowkey vibe made it a feel good track, so it got played everywhere. You two should react to the entire Kaleidoscope Dreams album. I like all of his albums, but this is the closest he's come to a perfect album so far.
Miguel is one of my favorites Other songs by him to react to 1. All I want is you ft j Cole 2. Vixen 3. How many drinks ft Kendrick Lamar 4. Quickie 5. Coffee 6. Simple things 7. Do you 8. Come through and chill ft j Cole 9. Pineapple skies 10. Girl with the tattoo is an interlude but it’s soo good
This was the first single on the album and won the Grammy for best r&b song in 2013. This song was everywhere. Miguel is awesome live and when I saw him live there was something reminiscent of Prince…
I love Miguel. Yall should do the entire album. This song had me in a choke hold. Also check out Lotus Flower Bomb by Wale and Miguel sings the hook. Also a great listen....How Many Drinks by Miguel featuring Kendrick Lamar. Memories Back Then by T.I, Kendrick Lamar and B.O.B is also a good song. Storytelling melodic rap rnb type song.
PLEASE do more Miguel. Going through all the comments and remembering what songs I love most from him are Coffee, how many drinks, lotus flower bomb, vixen, all I want is you, girl with the tattoo, and honestly so many more ❤️❤️ his voice & sound is so mesmerizing
I kinda wish you guys had listened to the song without interruption, then listened again with your commentary/pauses. Just to drink on the whole work before responding. Edit: and with the lyrics up, especially since it was new to both of you guys. Thanks for the excellent content!
Miguel was just featured on a song with Jessie Reyez called Jeans ... It is so good, the compliment each other so well! Not sure if you guys have checked out Jessie Reyez but she is so good
You have to listen to this song loud with no distractions and your eyes closed! If you do that you will always realize what a masterpiece it is!! One of my favorite songs of all time in R&B. ❤
Finally! This is my fav song from Miguel. This album is, for sure, a classic. Miguel is just a well-rounded artist and a great R&B artist. I would love for you all to listen to the whole album.
The song is a grower. I didn’t pay attention to it much when it was released but it really grew on me in 2017/2018 but definitely one of my favorites from Miguel
I absolutely LOVE Miguel! I remember hearing “Sure Thing” from the album before this, and “Adorn” was huge… didn’t get my attention. My (now) ex was watching some reality show and Miguel’s “Do You…” started to play and I automatically poked my head around the corner like, who is this? I Shazam’d the song, started going down the rabbit hole, and dude became one of my all time favorites. I don’t completely love every song but I love the vibes and his voice is just… amazing. If I could sing like anyone living or dead it would be Miguel. I’ve travelled to see him live when his Wildheart album dropped and his art just got so much more appealing. Some of his stuff since then hasn’t caught the same interest from me but as a full project, I think Kaleidoscope and Wildheart are just super special. Also if you do any live performance reactions he really comes alive especially since one of his major inspirations is Prince, Miguel just incorporates so many vibes in his music and I totally dig it. I think you guys would love the Kaleidoscope album and I’d love to see it
You guys seem to have an ear for Miguel. I have 3 songs you guys would melt over. Fool for you- Snoh Aalegra Remember me - UMI Power trip - jcole ft Miguel Timeless classic California dreamin’- Lee Moses
Saw him live with my best friend, who is also a massive fan, and it was easily one of the best concerts I've gone to. Really wish he would have kept releasing new music after War & Leasure.
When Adorn dropped it filled a void in mainstream music. Guess the consensus was people missed a traditional r&b sound. Plus Miguel has such a melodic voice, he can sell a song that may be boring for the next singer. You guys should react to Girl with the Tattoo, next! That and Harem.
Would love to see your reactions and thoughts on bridge over troubled water - Jacob collier, Tori Kelly, John legend even watching the videos of his process with Tori!
Kaleidoscope Dream starts off with "Adorn", a track where ecstatic infatuation is hemmed in by Miguel's understated vocal dexterity, and this album feels like its proper context. He rockets off into falsetto for irresistibly brief moments, and a new outro spirals elegant, trained vocal gymnastics around the song's chorus. "Adorn" also showcases Miguel's secret weapon: modesty. It's definitively, deceptively simple, a nugget of concentrated sunshine, and not necessarily all that original. But I'll be damned if it doesn't pull you in and make you feel it. - Ryce, Pitchfork 2012.
I’ll add a little bit of context. This song came out in in the 2000 and tens so for me it was one of the first songs that I downloaded to iTunes or my Apple library when I had a iPhone. Because the name of the song is Adorn and the way that iPhone used to operate when you plugged your phone into your car or you just hit play this was the first song that always came up so it was repetition and listen to the song over and over again that definitely helped
It was actually a HUGE single on both urban contemporary and urban adult radio. It's also low key a great steppers song that will fill the floor at any 35+ party. Kalaidoscope Dream may be his best album. You need to pop that CD in the deck some time.
Two points to make: 1. The version that was mostly played on radio had a Wiz Khalifa feature, which probably gave it more crossover appeal to pop charts. 2. You should Absolutely listen to “How Many Drinks”!🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
This was the first song I watched blow up. I heard it as a promotional snippet, then the full version came out on SoundCloud on his mixtape. I thought it was a cool underground song then a few months later it was started playing on the radio everywhere.
Y’all should do “dead prez, song title, hip hop”. & “Jazmine Sullivan, song titles, bust the windows out ur car ( I wanna get ur dad out his chair dancing or really moving & feeling this vibe!) also, the other one from her is lions, tigers & bears! Her vocal range & the melodic runs she does is unparalleled! Listen to these 2 songs & get into it 4 real. ❤️ ur channel, I’m a singer & have a musical ear for talent. This video was awesome! 🙏🏽🙌🏽
Miguel is one of my favorite artists and Kaleidoscope Dream is a fantastic album, no skips! Adorn, in my opinion, is one of his more traditional R&B tracks. You hear elements of Motown and doo-wop, it reminds me of stuff my father would play when I was a kid. I hear your ambivalence about Adorn in comparison to, say, Skywalker, which is way more contemporary.
I didn't recognise the artist so i went through his Spotify library and realised he featured on a song with... JANELLE MONÁE (Primetime) I hope you guys react to some earlier Janelle somebody. She's incredible.
Coffee in the morning - Miguel... Very unique song.

Agreed! “Kaleidoscope Dreams” is one of my favorite R&B albums.
Adorn is a perfect song. It's a classic!
Miguel is one of my favorites
Other songs by him to react to

The thrill still takes me there till till this day!

I honestly think this is the best R&B song in the last 15 years.
This was and probably still is my favorite Miguel song. Definitely one of his best IMO.
Yes, do the entire album! Kaleidescape Dreams and All I want is you are his best bodies of work.
Adorn is by far my favorite Miguel song. I have never stopped listening to it.
This song gives such a nostalgic feeling. Dad was absolutely on point with his commentary.
Dad had some very insightful points for this cover 🙌🏾 Miguel definitely gives me Prince vibes.
I kinda wish you guys had listened to the song without interruption, then listened again with your commentary/pauses. Just to drink on the whole work before responding.
Edit: and with the lyrics up, especially since it was new to both of you guys. Thanks for the excellent content!
I thought the same! I enjoy their commentary but they did talk over his voice hitting that high note toward the end. That high note is perfection. 🤌
When this song came out damn memories thanks guys.
Maxwell's live cover of Kate Bush's 'This Woman's Work' from MTV Unplugged.
Love his version ❤️
This song was so fire when it came out. Miguel has such beautiful vocals.
This one of the best R&B songs ever in my opinion, always singing it.
Might as well listen to all the albums now, all hits!
Miguel is CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED.
I was happy to see a song I know and love. I'd love to see you do India Arie "Ready for love".

I agree COMPLETELY!!!!
Love that little sound he makes on this one. Reminds me of Crash Bandicoot 😂❤️ “Woooop”
The song is a grower. I didn’t pay attention to it much when it was released but it really grew on me in 2017/2018 but definitely one of my favorites from Miguel

My favorite song ever ❤️❤️

This was heavily suggested. Thank you for doing this ❤
Love this outfit Kai!
Absolute classic. Feels as the fresh as the day it was released. Beautiful vocals and lyrics. Adorn is not a commonly used word in the slightest.
Would love to see your reactions and thoughts on bridge over troubled water - Jacob collier, Tori Kelly, John legend even watching the videos of his process with Tori!
Love this song so much.
Love this song!!

Also Pitchfork rated this album 8.4/10. It would be amazing if you reacted to it. 😊
Miguel - Come through and chill
One of my favorite songs in "newer" music
I’ll add a little bit of context. This song came out in in the 2000 and tens so for me it was one of the first songs that I downloaded to iTunes or my Apple library when I had a iPhone. Amazing album. 100% should listen.
It was actually a HUGE single on both urban contemporary and urban adult radio. It's also low key a great steppers song that will fill the floor at any 35+ party. Kalaidoscope Dream may be his best album. You need to pop that CD in the deck some time.

how many drinks is really the song on this album!
