Grammastola Porteri, or as I prefer, grandma stole a poor terry
Thank you for this video. My daughter started out loving insects and now has expanded to spiders. She's been telling me she wants a pet tarantula so I told her when she's older (currently 5), but I'm kind of clueless
Mine would be
1. GBB
2. GBB
3. GBB
4. Every Grammostola
5. Every Brachypelma
6. A Chalcodes
7. C Darlingi
8. M Balfouri
9. Caribena Versicolor
10. P Metallica
I'm sorry, I'm a GBB fanboy
:3
you have great taste d:
OBT!!!!!! XD GBB are so beautifull
DityaVanko I’m getting a GBB soon I already ordered it I cant wait til it arrives
P metalica😫
I was just watching Dark Den, But saw this title and had to check it out! I’ll come back to you dark den!
wOw, I LITERALLY DID THE SAME THING LMAO, was watching his Balfouri update, #sorrypetko
mwahahaha I’m tellin on you two 🙈
I didnt see dark Den in my sub list for some reason...
But I had an interest in this list from kat's perspective
Same! Was watching Dark Den and then I saw this vid 😂. We'll I didn't go wrong ❤️
Kat's channel is the one that got me into the hobby... and i dove head first into it.. i think i have... 14?T's now(all slings tho){and some are still about to be shipped this week} accumulated in over a couple months time...and i have Kat to thank for generating this new interest for me and now i have a new hobby!
One tarantula I would add to the list is the A. chalcodes or Arizona Blonde.
yesss was gonna but they’re hard to find overseas so I tried to cater to everyone d: they’re the best tho
@@tarantulakat Didn't think about that. They are amazing. Most of them are super docile. Mine is named Novia because she is so calm. She was the perfect T for my first tarantula.
He was also my first T
G. Pulchra will always be my favorite since it was my first tarantula :)
Omg I love the new intro!💜
thank uuuu :3
Love the video Kat. A few of these are my favorites.
Keep up the amazing work you do Tarantula Kat. I cant stop watching your tarantula videos. They are amazing.
Great video.
Information is key to keeping any animal.
great video Kat really helped me pick my next T :)
Awesome line up 👌🏼
Love the new intro! super cute. My curly hair was all of 5 whole dollars, so it was a must-have due to affordability lol
Lovin' the new intro!💖
Nice to hear 4 of my Tarantulas made the top 10 lol. Great channel and I look forward to seeing more in the near future
Got a GBB comin' this Wednesday :D Excited!
hello I discovered you on youtube, you have very high quality content and I really love what you do, thanks to you I am feeding or trying to feed exotic animals, but I do not understand English
I ordered a GBB female I’m really exited for it, it’s my first T and I can’t wait
I just got my first GBB today!! Super excited to watch it get bigger 🤗💙
Hey :) just found your channel . Lovely tarantulas 💛
Love your new intro and love those t-shirts you’ve posted on your IG❤️ watching your videos and Dark den really help me feel relief because of this quarantine☺️❤️
thank you 🙏
❤️❤️❤️
Good list. I love all the baboons so seeing the P. murinus was great.
Your videos are very interesting thank you 😊👏👍
A seemanni for the win! Was my first t and is like a little bulldozer, moving substrate around constantly. As for other "staples" to any collection I also might add G pulchra. I'm getting my first one tomorrow and besides being big and a gorgeous velvety black I've heard that most are pretty easy-going and easy to care for, tho they can be pretty pricey. Thanks Kat for continuing with interesting, quality content and hope everyone is staying safe and healthy!
Sick as new title screen! Cool as top 10 TK so many I want to get someday but will have to be sneaky 🤔
I really appreciate that you tend to lean more on the educational side with your videos. I learned a lot... I really want one but I’m so afraid of failing it. Plants die in my wake soooo... yeah.
Solid list! I love Arizona blondes and A. Geniculata
Love the entro! Lol GBB and OBT are awesome! 😀👍👍✌️
May you be Blessed , happy and amazing. We all Love you and your tarantulas very much. The Feeding videos are my hands Down favourite ❤
You are saving me with these videos in these trying quarantine times Kat. THANK YOU!!
thank u for watching 🤗
@@tarantulakat aww my pleasure!
I have two Euathlus sp. Red and I love them so much! They make great beginner tarantulas if you like a slow-growing dwarf species. They are super docile and also active as well. I love watching them excavate their tunnels, digging out and carrying around little bundles of substrate 🖤🕸🕷
brilliant video! Been thinking about my next T! I have a the same pink toe as you. As well as a curly hair and a mexican red rump
Great list of tarantulas but I definitely would add t.stirmi 😆 thanks for the video 😁👍
You are the tarantula Queen. Tarantula Kat. Ive always Dreamed about having my own tarantulas. I Love all of your tarantulas.
Thanks for posting Kat! So nice to see another human being during England's lockdown!
great video, good video quality, helpful info - some that i really didn't know, so well worth watching!. Interesting to hear what's readily available in America, compared to England. vagans, albopilsum, OBT, parahybana & metalica are all readily available, hamorri are less so (smithi even more so).....almost any Grammostola, or avicularia or GBB the hardest, and the elusive Brachypelma schroederi rare as rockinghorse poo
Love the vids kat a genic is my fav tarantula
love them too
tarantula kat wowww u really replied keep the vids up only thing getting me through this lockdown in Ireland 😀
I can't believe I don't have a GBB after all these years.
you should have included Chaco golden knee, G. pulchripes, but you nailed it on your list of iconic tarantulas
Solid list, I'd agree with your choices for sure. My gbb has never kicked hairs and my hamorii likes to kick lol
I'd like to see an Australian's version of this - It would have to be a top 7 because those are the only species we can keep lol
Great list! c: I own all of them besides the first 3 ones! Which I will surely add at some point c:
Tarantula Kat: P. Matallica is something that probably brings a lot of peaple into keeping tarantulas.
Me: I'm not sure about that. But -
The P Metallica and GBB is why I kept watching videos like this, and they actually make me want to have a few tarantella.
New subscriber here 💯
I really enjoyed your video
One of my zebra leg slings at times does have a tendency to come out on it's own and seems fairly chill when its out
U hecka cute! Just found your Channel, saw your "reacting to bad advice" video! Awesome work! Keep it going
Pd. Hope to see de elf ears soon n.n
8 comment I love the amazing intro to your videos kat you rock thank you for making quarantine fun at home Love seeing your amazing tarantulas 👍💯 I love your animal crossing shirt
I would love to see a " best beginner tarantula " video!
I love curly hairs! They are amazing!!
It's interesting watching these older videos seeing how brighter and more "colorful" things were to now being more darker and gothy 🤣 I love it! I'm also thinking of getting a GBB or a Mexican Flame Knee for my 1st T 🤔. I can't really decide! I'm getting it from Jamiestarantulas and those were in the recommended for beginners though they sell all kinds plus enclosures and stuff!
Great choices. Hehehe your hubby in the back with his man bun.
Watching your videos is always a treat. I have always wanted a tarantula, but was never in a good enough place to get one (moving cross country multiple times does not lend well to keeping them, I imagine).
My ex had a tarantula, not sure what kind, I think it was supposed to be a Rose Hair, but didn't match any of the pics I've seen around of them. It was really dark, almost black in some spots, with reddish brown hairs on the abdomen.
Sadly I had to move out and leave the T behind (he wouldn't let me take it with me), with really bad husbandry. Little to no substrate, a foam insert wall to climb, no hides, and my ex wouldn't let me change anything about the tank to give it a better home.
I made sure it had water, and bought it feeder insects all the time on the way home from work (divvied out between the beardie, the tokay gecko, and the Chinese water dragon). At one point the T got out, and we thought it was lost in the house somewhere (he left the doors on the exo-terra front opening tank open), and a few days later my ex found it walking up the wall by the front door. He screamed and demanded I catch it, saying he didn't want to touch it.
I really wish I had brought it with me when I moved out, and flew back to Maine, but was worried how people would react while in the air to the idea of a tarantula in a kitter keeper on the flight...
Oh wow... the Green Bottle Blue... amazing webs. So pretty.
Yeah I love my chromatopelma cyaneopubescens pride of my collection
I bought a gbb from the tarantula guy with the pickle on his neck (can't remember his name, but hes always there) from the reptile show in st. Louis, as a sling. So far he/shes great! Can't wait till the colors come in :) also I love your videos, would be cool to meet you at a show someday!
I wanted a brachypelma because I heard they were relatively chill. Found a beautiful one! Read up on it and find out the one I picked out and liked is the most defensive brachypelma 😂 still decided to go with it and now I’ve had my boehmei for 3 days and I absolutely adore my tiny sling. My very first was a grammostola pulchripes and he was literally so so chill and sweet but they are harder to find now
I've always wanted a Red-Knee or a Green- bottle Blue... They kinda do it all
In the background you got a huge spider (adorable, I want it!), animal crossing characters, and an eevee. I love stuffed animals too!
Sweet list! I think if thrown in: 1. Aphonopelma Bicoloratum 2. Grammostola Pulchra 3. Euathlus Truculentus (these three just for being so chill).
so beauyt the new intro!...i like to have OBT but i scare to bitting
Lovely I miss having ts I had a obt a tiger a curly hair and a carbina
My #1 all-time favorite species has always been (and will always be) the Theraphosa Blondi.
I recently got my first tarantulas and both are on the list! They are a GBB and a T. Albopilosus (Curly hair, Nicaraguan variety) :D
Since OBTs and GBBs are heavy Webber’s they can also make great displays!
agree :)
Hi kat I love the animals Crossing Shirt that my favorite video games 💯👍
The P. metallica are good. As in A+ good when still juveniles or sub-adults. My only problem with them is they tend to darken up as they age and won't be showing much of those beautiful blues colors anymore.
Need a Nhandu on the list ;)
Great list though! I’ve only got one of the ones on it (T vagans), but the rest are on my list to get :D
I love them all so much 🖤🕷😩
What spices of tarantula is ophilia?
Hey Kat funny you should mention the GBB being hair kickers for no reason, I have the Notorious E. Marinus Im not even allowed to clean her glass she's not a hair flicker but she's great for a threat pose and infamous for a slap she won't bite but has no problem slapping me with her front legs lol love this video so well done been waiting to see this episode ❤🌹
I am new to the hobby as of Oct 2019 and currently have 7 tarantulas.
I have a G Pluchra, T. Albopilosum (hobby form), B. Hamorri, GBB, and I just received an A. chalcodes and got two LPs.
They are all still under 3" but I must say my GBB is almost there and had given me a few threat poses.
I don't even know HOW I got to your videos, but here I am.
I'm thrilled to find some tarantula keepers on UA-cam! I wanna get a new one.
Had a Brachypelma emilia (Mexican redleg) as a family pet when I was younger, and was so damned sad when she died. DX
This is a lovely list of where to start. Thanks! ~
I love the Haplopelma lividum
Okay but where did u get that animal crossing long sleeve? It’s so cool! 🥰
Good list!..the only thing i would change is maybe put arizona blonde up in 4 or lower range lol..i enjoyed it tho👍
My daughter loves your hair Kat. She sits with me to watch you and Dark Den. 😊
awwww tell her thank you
@@tarantulakat One more thing. How can I persuade my wife that we need a tarantula in our lives?
@@philtrevis Education is key. I did *not* like spiders, tbh I still don't like most araneomorphs ("true" spiders), but after watching a lot of videos (Exoticslair, Dark Den, Kat, etc.), I learned a lot and decided to get one. Plus a freebie. Then I got three more. Then one more. And I've got an order of like 4-6 tarantulas pending now. I can't stop. Please help me.
Basically do what the radio does. Don't like a song? Wait until you've heard it 36 times. Same difference.
Can you do a top 10 arboreal? I like that you don't dismiss "cheap" spiders. lower price doesn't mean they aren't amazing!
I am scared to death of spiders but I enjoy watching your channel and learning more about them. I have decided next time I find one in my apartment, I will call you to come save me! (I live in Québec, hehe)
We rarely see you handling your spiders... do you do it at all?
Have you ever been bit?
We just got our first sling. Decided for a B. albiceps instead of hamorii.
In my province we're only allowed to keep rose hairs, B. Smithi (not Hamorii) and pink toed Tarantulas.
Cool green chair
your shirt is dope. have you been tarantula farming in the new game?
Neat graphic!
I LOVE YOUR SWEATER SM WHERE CAN I FIND THAT
Just got my first T! A. Avic, and I already want more
Welcome to the addiction
When you do topics like this can you make a list of it in the description!? Thanx.. great content keep it cummin🕸🕷👍
*commin*
Yes it would be helpful
Oh my that green and red one needs a Christmas name🦂🐞🦇
Yep my 2nd spider is the green bolty blue yes I called it this I worked on her enclosure she bolts across the room, they bolt and kick hair and food responsive she has attacks the cricket fast.
My first t was brachypelma boehmei (absolutely love himmm.) now im waiting for my tliltocatl albopilosum, p regalis sling and acanthoscurria geniculata to arrive ☺️ I TRIED to stay at one t, but... there's so many cool species, how could I possibly only keep one.
I dont really see many aphonopelmas on sale in Europe :( Seemannis are probably the most common.
My 10 would be:
At least 2 common brachypelma (boehmi, hamori)
G rosea
G pulchripes
OBT!
P regalis
N chromatus
LP
Albo! The ultimate starter T
GBB
I rescued a curly hair from a local pet store here a couple days ago, and its done the same thing...barricaded itself and I haven't seen it since LOL
Loving the new harry potterish intro
That intro
My rose hair is VERY aggressive she's my only tarantula and she comes bounding out of her hide as soon as she feels any vibration. And isn't scared to attack the tongs 😂 good practice I say and she puts on a good show!
One of my best tarantulas is Aphonopelma chalcodes. Unfortunately there is a big problem to get it in Europe now. I hope some day.... :)
Love this vid but I’m shocked you didn’t mention the grammostola pulchra, I love them tho they can be expencive here in the UK plus u can only really get them as slings, my first spider was the pink salmon birdeater she about 3-4 inches now she doesn’t really kick hair at me but will at cricket an love to eat roaches, I finally got a curlyhair sling an it’s super fast loves and loves to tunnel and I found a brizalian black sling and she also amazing and super relaxed compared to the curlyhair sling
U look really nice with ur hair done!! 😍😍😍😍😍
That curly hair is a beautiful animal. I want one🕷🕸
Number 10 blue one for sure and also like GBB
Gbb is my favorite one that i own :) n mine does like to kick hair the only one that does haha is a great eater as a sling
damit! i got here late... video uploaded yesterday :( great video since im just starting with the hobbie... and well... i made the INCREDIBLY SMART decision to get 3 OBT slings so... yea...
Just got my 8th tarantula. I now have 1 A. chalcodes, 1 Avic avic M6 metallica, 1 T. albopilosum, 2 A. seemanni, 1 B. hamorii, 1 B. boehmei, and 1 G. pulchra. I'm thinking of getting a G. uatuman.
@panfriedd I would love the Stromatopelma calcaetum. I'm more of a fan of the African tarantulas. But I am planning on getting an M. balfouri and/or a H. pulchripes.
g. pulchripes and a. chalcodes, too! :)
What about A. Geniculata? I feel that's number one to have. Grows more or less fast, grows big, biggest appetite ever, very active, easy to keep. I kinda thought they are a must-have. Haven't seen any tarantula hunt prey as well as this one (mine is a juvenile now but I don't even manage to put a cockroach in her enclosure - she jumps at my tongs and takes it), also quite a designer, always carries substrate somewhere to create a completely different set-up from the one I made. Stays in the open the majority of time.
