@@Adachifan54 I looked it up and turns out you are correct, but I think maybe it should of ended how it did. I think it kinda ties in the first episode well and leaves space for individual interpretation as to what happens next. Are the new chapters good?, I haven't read
I preferred the original version but now the demo has grown on me quite a bit with the vocals coming through smoother. People who hate on the demo make me want to take my grasses off, everything will go wrong

I read somewhere that I guess Miura had left notes behind for an assistant to finish the story. Might’ve been rumors and speculation, but I wanna stay hopeful about it

@@OhFrittata but the thing is, unless Kentaro wrote everything out 100% to what his vision was before he passed, even if his assistants finish it for him, it might not be the true ending he would’ve wanted.

This demo version is amazing. "You're my wonder girl" I cried so much, it's so obvious this was referencing to Caska, I don't know how to put it into words, I love it. Guts and Caska are my favorite characters from Berserk, I just wanted them to be happy together.

He feels stuck in a cycle of emotion and is working on breaking it. Haha maybe he wrote the demo and then broke up halfway through and it opened up his creative insight further. I know each time it does for me.

People say this op dont fit berserk but I think it fits the golden age arc perfectly. The warm feeling you get from this song contrasts with the evil of the age of darkness and the eclipse so well that if their is an modern anime adiptation I hope they try something similar.

I love how in every piece of media that was touched by berserk has become so much mournful in discourse. I hope we will continue to treat his legacy with the respect it deserves, be it making jokes and content about the series, or simply enjoying and contemplating it together.
I'm don't comment normally , i didn't remember about berserk or about kentaro miura , i forgot about them , but this video pop out in the recommendations , when i heared this song , it was the first time , i never saw the anime , then i looked for where did i hear about this anime , at first it didn't catch my attention for some reason , when i founded and remembered i gave it a try , the opening , i felt very connected , the feelings and memories that were tormenting me, they banished, i almost cried , because for me it was a very big coincidence , the first lines are beautiful , now they are in mine heart , thanks to that it helped me a litte , i know this a little random , but i realized that these lines made it througth my heart , so i wanted to share it , and thanks to this kind of people , who shares and creates this stories, another good creator is gone , but his work is within us , even if it cannot continue ,more stories will come and many inspired thanks to this one , so again thank you, this opening for me now is special and i wont forget it ... I don’t care about the broken English, the thing that makes this song absolutely perfect for Berserk and makes me love it is how the vocals sound like they are pulling through some kind of pain. Rest in peace

I cant believe I listened to this song for an hour straight. I've never watched or read Berserk, but I can see how the Berserk's grim themes can be foreshadowed in this opening song. It oozes a kind of scrappy, homemade passion that you don't really feel in too many anime or manga nowadays. God bless Miura and this series
Update (5/18/22): I finally started reading Berserk and it's already one of the best decisions I've ever made. I've already devoured damn near 200 chapters in a matter of days. I'm a huge fan of the Souls games, so I could pick up all the points of inspiration for different titles, but I see a lot for Elden Ring in particular. Hearing about the legendary Guts himself is one thing, but witnessing him with your own eyes is a spectacle in itself. My only regret about this series is not getting into it sooner.
Same here with Evangelion but I regret binging it in so short time.
I feel the same with Berserk but also with Final Fantasy 7 (coincidentally it was also inspired by Berserk), I knew about it and the characters since 2014 but only got into it last month
