Anatomy of a Fall - Movie Review

Anatomy of a Fall is a 2023 French legal drama thriller that was directed by Justine Triet based on a screenplay she wrote with Arthur Harari, with the film starring Sandra Huller. The film premiered at the 76th Cannes Film Festival in May 2023 with it winning the Palme d’Or. Before it received a wider release in August 2023 with the it getting critical acclaim and praise for the direction and performances, along with it going on to win 2 golden globes in best screenplay and best foreign language film. Of course we have seen over the last few years that the Oscars are more accommodating to films that are not in English, so it was not overly surprising, but it was nice that this feature received 5 nominations at the upcoming Academy Awards!
