I’m tearing up just watching these videos. You can tell how much heart and soul they’ve put into this game and true enough ff7 is a game one can call a masterpiece. Thank you to the entire ff7 team ❤

I know it’s not perfect and the OG holds a special place in our hearts but you have to admit the amount of work and efforts they put in these games was poured out so deeply especially in Rebirth. Remake was great too but Rebirth having so much to explore it’s insanely fun. To have your beloved characters, stages, EVERYTHING to be expanded into today’s technology is incredible. Can’t imagine what they’ll do for part 3.
The environments, the towns were such a surprise how amazing they looked!! The music also plays a great part - Under Junon song is one of my favourite among many others ❤ They've done also an amazing job with the combat and synergy skills - it is so addictive 😂 I can't imagine how difficult the localization work must have been with all the subtexts 😅
I first experienced and fell instantly in love with FFVII when I was 12 years old in 1999. I can’t believe we get to experience this retelling. Thank you Square Enix for taking risks and for your hard work. I absolutely love what you are doing with this remake series.
Man.. it's nice to see more of the team, very surprised how young some of them are and very excited for Square Enix's/Creative Business Unit I's future. They really have some massive talent there.
Listened to Japanese English and French dub, only English team had the balls to let Aerith swears
Amazing world, amazing characters and personalities, amazing battles, cutscenes, everything. This is peak Final Fantasy.
I wanted to say, the english localization team did an excellent job in portraying the characters. They sound and act the way I imagined them then, and more so now.
These are the characters I loved as a child, to see them fully realized is such a wonderful experience.
I know it's only April but I think it's safe to say this will win Game of the Year next January. 👍

Yep that last line by Nomura seals it. The experience will differ from person to person and the ending will most likely be affected in this. Meaning that your choices will matter. It would be a great swan song for fans of FFVII.

Even In AC, Cloud could not get along well with Tifa because Aerith death so that no matter which couple you support, there is a common interest there. The story should align with the era atmosphere nowadays

thank you for letting me be a part of this amazing story.I think we will have to wait a long time for the continuation, but I don't mind. I have never experienced such an emotional train ride from a game like this one.I want to platinum the game, but since I played it all the way, I just can't get the game to work, last year I was very sick and I was close to death. Each voice in the English dub sounded spot on, all the actors did an amazing job. Gonna replay in Japanese next for the 'Advent Children' experience.
Aerith is dead. As you can see, the major events did not change at all. There are more added scenes, that's all.
When you think that Aerith is alive, think about Sephiroth's line after her death "you'll see never the truth with such clouded eyes.'
There are several realities and a new protagonist like Zack. That changes things.
Sephiroth also tells Cloud his emotions aren't real and is his puppet. Not saying you're 100% incorrect but Sephiroth can't be taken at his word.
I hope Final Fantasy 7 Remake will have a Materia preset feature. Many users have been wanting this feature since the remake was announced, and it's surprising that modern games don't have this basic feature. I hope the next update will include the Materia preset feature.
The ending may have left me a bit puzzled but I won’t let such trifles keep me from Part 3.
I do really want to see how it all ends since a great deal of what we remembered from disc 2-3 of the OG WILL be included!
And Rebirth was an incredible game! So yes I’m like Square and seeing this trilogy through to the very end!!

The unknown journey ends up being known. Aerith meddling with the planet and white whispers was the reason, as I see it.
Also, what Sephiroth wanted… he wanted her to pray at that spot… “Hold to that hatred Cloud”… He will once he opens his eyes.. like the groups feels.
After 25 years, I was the camp of saving Aerith. Not because I think she is a romantic partner to cloud, but I wanted her and Zack reunited, in a more satisfactory manner than in advent children.
But sometimes, you just can’t get what you want. As is stated: “No promises await at journey's end”
No promises await at journey’s end is from the loveless play. At the end the lovers depart but they don’t keep any promises because they know they’ll find each other again which is like her last line of the song. In Japanese version they don’t make any promises at the end. Also Rebirth Ultimania came out now and there are some spoilers

It is a masterpiece. The best game of the year and I think it will be one of the best in history.
When I finished this game I had the same feeling as the movie Dune Part 2. I had witnessed something amazing visually and soundly. Square, if you are reading this, I am no one to influence, but as a fan I ask that Aerith and Zack have a just ending. Above all Zack, a character that we have discovered and loved very much. For many FF7 lovers it would be a caress in the heart.
Screw Zack, not a fan of his. Hope they get rid of him by the end of Chapter 1 in the next game.
@@CaliforniaRaisens You have a very limited universe of FF7. They added Zack on the cover and have already made changes. They will connect with Advent Chilfren, where Aerith and Zack share the lifestream. Cloud is with Tifa and knows that things were always between Aerith and Zack

Just amazing that FFVII Remake Trilogy is real. We are half way there already! Looking forward to the final chapter in the story. FFVII has been part of my childhood and means alot. Cosmo Canyon was something special, the environment and music was something. But his teen voice wasn't that great for me, his older and wiser VA was better. I really do hope they have more original weapons. I wanted to use the nailbat and the Cutlass. It would have been nice to have some more limit breaks as well.
The most Beautiful Story ever Written. I Really hope Cloud and Tifa will finally have a happy ending as a couple in Part 3.

Aerith is annoying in speed dynamic. But if you utilize her and develop her. Then you get a good party for rpg. So OP. By the end we know she dies. A loss we respect. And have to copy in the material system. But never again in the free game.
It’s sad in the narrative and in the game dynamics. We don’t only miss her in story. We see that the game is harder without her

And that pretty much ends the debate for me. I cannot for the life of me understand the people who hate on the Remake trilogy because it isn’t a copy of the original with prettier graphics. It goes against the very essence of art to do that. Art needs to be transformative of something. It needs to add value in and of itself. Now, you want to keep certain aspects of the core original experience, and it is fair to debate whether the changes are good. What I cannot understand is all those people who hated the first Remake at least, for the pure fact that it added something new to the experience.
Because that's what they wanted and changing anything is tantamount to blasphemy, it isn't art to them it's sacred.
I can understand especially today where plenty of franchises are treated without respect by the people in charge of them but the devs at Square are treating this with a great deal of love and care not the cynical "it's a cash grab to them" people who loathe these games like to parrot.
Some fanboys have nostalgia blinders on and refuse to admit that some changes are actually for the better
I think Parasite Eve was best game by Square Enix. Clone Resident Evil and FF . It was best experience and we hope to see remake this game.

@squareenixna could you please PLEASE add FSR Frame Generation option to the game for PS5? It's available now and I think it might really help make the game a more enjoyable experience so we don't have to be locked to 30fps in Quality Mode. Performance Mode unfortunately is very blurry and I think many people are put off by the game because of it. I love Final Fantasy games and even for me it is very hard to play because I keep hoping for an update that will really improve performance with the better graphics and I don't want to experience it in it's current performance settings. PLEASE 🙏

Sephiroth deserves in the third numbered sequel to FF7 to see and talk to his real mother Lucrecia.

@@CrazyxEnigma The ideal moment of Sephiroth's meeting with his real mother would be the moment from the original where Cloud hits Omnislash, the moment itself could be changed in the continuation of the game, making it so that Lucrecia stops Cloud and prevents him from striking his Son, Sephiroth and Lucrecia exchange just a few words, after which Sephiroth would have left lifestream with a more purified soul.

Cloud didn't go into the reactor when Seph initially lost his sanity so Cloud never met Genesis there, and Zack probably never mentioned him while Cloud had mako poisoning. Cloud went inside the reactor for the first time after the town was burned.
So both versions can coexist and be canon at the same time.

I think Final Fantsy XI, XIV and VII are going to end similar to how XVI, how everything magical and cosmic and the lifestream become a novel book to the real world.
It’s in their title, “Final Fantasy,” the finale of fantasy. Not reality. It means all of the characters known in the Final Fantasy world are going to be turned into novels and the real world an important part of Final Fantasy and Square Enix.
What's with all the hate on Aerith? There's a reason why it's called Remake and Rebirth, the devs literally created a story where Cloud given a 2nd chance to save Aerith or he'll be depressed like in AC. Although I did want the game to be 100% true to the OG, it's not fair to leave the characters you love and grew up with to just die like that... like Aerith is the best healer, can't imagine how I will survive without her in part 3
I don’t think people are hating on Aerith when they say she should stay dead, it’s just that her death is such a major part of the story and experience of ff7. The main theme of the game and AC was loss and learning to move on and I think a lot of people feel like it’d kinda cheapen the story if we can just revive her and get a happily ever after. That’s not what life’s like after all, when someone dies, they’re gone forever.
Stupid ship wars is their problem. They scared Cloud loves her. You can’t go to one video without someone in the comments attacking someone that favors Cloud/Aerith.

She'll definitely have a presence in part 3. What that will be idk but we'll see her again in some form or another otherwise what's the point of the differing timelines and bringing an alive Zack into the story?

The American localization team needs to be more attentive when it comes to faithfully translating the work from Japanese. I’ve already seen a couple posts on Twitter detailing how some of the translations in certain scenes weren’t one for one and skewed the meaning of certain scenes.
They literally showed the guy in charge of the English localization speaking fluent Japanese in this video.
@@xPooogle515 Ben Sabin’s ability to speak Japanese fluently is completely irrelevant to what I’m talking about. If you were following along with anything going on regarding the localization situation you’d realize that the team behind the English translation has been making changes that deviate from the original Japanese script thus affecting how Western audiences perceive certain scenes. Once again, this is about making sure these people do their damn job and stay within the lines of the script passed down by Square.

You want to make it a faceless position because the image of all four localization heads sitting side by side discussing their translations together damages your hyperbolic insults. As Sabin himself said in the video, you lose a lot of meaning trying to translate Japanese 1to1 into English, the nuances matter and that’s what a real effective translation does. No one cares about your personal headcanons.

And actually literally no other team besides SENA has this issue so this isn’t an attack on any other language either. It’s already been shown on Twitter by fans that the translations are NOT one-for-one and that while it can be difficult, there is room for at least some improvement. Yet the developers felt it necessary to make the original story more convoluted and confusing. The most important moment in the game that should have been experience by new players was ruined. They took the most important scene and squandered it. I was a fan of the game since I bought it in 1997 as a teenager.

I will not take away from the beautiful visuals, and exciting battle system. But the remake and rebirth just break my excitement. I just feel there changing way to much of the core ff7 story experience, the build up doesn't hit the same, and there are so many things that conflict, it doesn't make sense..
It is not a remake what so ever. I feel if that's what there idea of a remake is, they should of just did something else.
Please let Cloud find Aerith in part 3.

I'm pretty sure they killed her here again. All this buildup with changing fate and stuff was a bait to make Aerith fans still buy the game. And now they set up hope with the ending that she might have survived so the same sheeps will buy part 3.
Tbh the game was good, but considering that they even brought Zack back to life but couldn't manage to spare the character, so many people had hopes for to survive, kinda turns off. I'm sure part 3 will be as good at this one, but still, it's not for me anymore.
I'm not here to bash the game, like I said, it is insanely well done, I'm just speaking for myself and how I feel about them changing the plot where it was completely unnecessary but being faithful where people would hope it actually mattered.

The people at Square and the creators should make Cloud move on with his life, no more talking about who the guy should stay with, Aerith died and that's it, the freshness of my love died, Cloud needs to move on with his life , find a new sequence for life. I would really like to see Cloud finally come back to life and for a new love, especially with Tifa, I see that these two characters have a very strong bond, the two fit together so well and I would be very grateful to see these two together, no just for them, what they built together after two.

@@The3rownie Tifa and Sephiroth are 10 years apart in terms of age. I support Clerith more than Cloti, but I cannot help but feel disgusted at anyone who ships Tifa with someone old enough to be her schoolteacher. There's no romantic chemistry between her and Sephiroth either. Their relationship was just professional at best not unlike a student and teacher on a field trip. If anything, Tifa should be with Zack.
Just let Aerith be dead in cloud's timeline that should be it. That's important to the story.
She definitely is and will be dead next part. It’s just that Cloud can’t except it and imagining she’s still there.

The team gave their everything and delivered in graphics, battle system and they managed to draw three-dimensional figures true to character.
BUT nobody cares about your Multiverse! You want to fail like Marvel or DC? Go on! Try Multiverse! Are we really going to destroy a classic story for the sake of subverting expectations again? Do you even know your target group? Do you really think Kingdom Hearts-like Stories is the way to continue? Do you think staying 80 percent true to the classic story is enough and nobody cares if the Aerith scene feels like an evil betrayal to what was promised?

And what is Cloud's timeline exactly? If you actually finished Rebirth, you can sew that he is teetering between multiple timelines.

ppl praising the game combat ? i have 200 plus hours on the game now combat isnt that good its limited in every way
The English translation is awful and extremely unfaithful to the original Japanese script. All the others did a good enough - the English translators should be fired.
Examples? Sure, they localized the hell out of the English script but I'd like to hear of even one good example of it being unfaithful to the essence of the JP script
