Thanks for the informative video. I too have algonema. I usually multiple the plants using root division. Never had the heart to try out with cuttings due to fear of failing. Will try now.
Hi, I have watched a lot of your videos and you've helped me increase my knowledge on maintaining indoor plants. Thanks for these! I bought an Aglaonema plant from a local nursery beginning of Jan this year with 5 - 6 leaves. I have used soil mix with Coco peat and vermicompost as suggested by you. I've kept it indoors in moderate light conditions. I water it only when needed. I have also given it Epson salt spray occasionally. Now after around 2 months I see that most of the leaves have dried and fallen. Only 2 leaves are remaining and now Spring is starting here in Delhi. What should I be doing now that the plant does not further die? I saw a video of yours in which you had cut Aglaonema plant from the stem so it can grow bushier. But I am afraid to do so. Please suggest. I can post a pic of the plant also, let me know where to post.
Again a nice informative video sir 👌👌 Just a simple query - if Agloenemas are so easy to propagate and it doubles up every time you take cuttings, why are the plants so costly then? the same goes for Monstera species as well which grows from stem cuttings but are out of budget for a new plant.
I had 4 silver kings that used to be one, I gave one of the plants away after I split it this summer. I'm already going to have to split the mother and another of the daughter plants come spring!
Need to know that after wrapping the cuttings with foam did u keep them in water or, do u keep the foam moist by dipping the cutting or watering it everyday or when the foam dries out.
Nice video! Just one question. I have a south facing home so no problem of sunlight but can you tell me if can keep the red algaonema outside in the balcony all the time?
Sir when I bought aglonema from nursery and after I took it to repot after removing upper soil I saw its roots were in floral foam..I have two stems in the foam..so should I remove the foam or repot it as it is? Also can I plant a cutting in rainy season? I also don't have any rooting hormone so can I use honey as a rooting hormone? Plz do reply sir
I don't have the courage to cut mine.. Is still quite rare in my country, it took me years to find the one I have and it was expensive 🙈 I'm too afraid of killing it!
I am a new Gardner,so have one plant but it's growth is not that healthy.I stay at Vadodara, Gujarat.I will be thankful if you ou help me retain my plant

Hey! By providing a warm and stable environment, adjusting your plant care routine, Moving your plant Away from Windows and Doors, Provide Adequate Indoor Temperature, Close Vents or Windows Nearby.
Hi, Aglaonema is very easy to propagate in water or in soil via stem cuttings. You'll get the best results with propagation done during the warm growing season.
Hey! It may take up to 45 -60 days for seeds to germinate. Propagation via stem cuttings - Stem cutting is most preferred method of propagation, cut the new shoots with minimum five leaves or old plant stem with a sanitized cutter and plant it in to the soil or coco-peat mix.
Great video, I love to watch you take care of your plants.
Hey, Glad you like them!
