Good Morning America News 1/1/2020: As of January 1st, 2020, Times Square has shut down because the ball got stuck and someone shot the ball at the New Year's Eve 2020 event, which wrecked some places in the area of where the ball drops. It's actually shut down for a year. The area will reopen in October 2021.
