OUR NEW STRETCHER WHEEL BRACKET

When moving a casualty on a stretcher, Mountain Rescue may use a wheel bracket system to reduce the weight on team members. Sometimes a casualty evacuation, can be a few kilometres over mountainous terrain and the wheel bracket system is invaluable in aiding a rescue.
Buxton Mountain Rescue have recently worked with Jaxweld, to make a bracket which fits all our stretchers. The width of the wheel bracket is adjustable. Working with Jaxweld has been enjoyable and their team have worked hard to make a good bracket; they brought ideas to the table and assisted in some design adjustments.
