Una nazionale sperimentale, rifondata dopo la fallimentare CdM 1974, giocò alla pari contro due potenze nel loro massimo splendore (Olanda di Crujiff e Polonia di Deyna). Furono lanciati giovani come Antognoni, Graziani, Causio, Gentile, Scirea. Da lì Bernardini e Bearzot posero le basi per il trionfo nella CdM 1982.
giocò alla pari insomma... forse con la Polonia, contro l'Olanda si è visto che erano nettamente più forti. Di contro, con la Finlandia (all'epoca proprio una squadra materasso) abbiamo fatto due figuracce

ricordo quella nazionale di Bernardini era sperimentale così fu chiamata. .ogni volta la formazione cambiava xo ' l'ossatura era giovane e così dopo l'eliminazione arrivò Bearzot che su quell ossatura costruì la nazionale campione del mondo 82. .avevo 16 anni

It didn’t show Poland v Holland in Poland. I remember the Italy v Finland 0-0 draw because as an England fan we had Italy and Finland in our World Cup qualifiers group 2 years later. Italy were gradually becoming stronger by then.

The draw in the match between Italy and Finland is the reason for Italy's exit from the qualifiers.
And a lovely exit it was. And wrong also. Holland had the better goal difference and even a win to Italy was not enough (2 points for a win then) so they finish with 7 points and Poland and Holland with 8 but Holland had the best goal difference. As it was Holland was able to cruise in the last game vs Italy and lose 1 - 0 as there was no consequence to it.

Mamma mia che squadra l Olanda, il secondo tempo ci voleva l elmetto. Con tutto il rispetto davanti l Italia era più che buona ma in mezzo e dietro, a parte zoff, era veramente poca cosa
In quella partita era pieno di giocatori che avrebbero poi fatto poca strada in nazionale (Rocca, Roggi, Juliano, Zecchini, Morini, Orlandini)

@@charlenegatt7142 Che fosse più forte è vero, ma sta di fatto che senza l'arbitraggio l'Olanda quella partita non l'avrebbe vinta e che nella partita di ritorno fece letteralmente vomitare. Il termine melina l'ho sentito la prima volta in quell'occasione, rare volte ho visto un gioco più irritante ed antisportivo. E alla fine la leggendaria Olanda degli anni 70' non vinse mai il mondiale... e manco l'europeo!

Le partite 12 contro 11 sembra siano storia vecchia.. rigore netto contro l'Olanda negato come anche il fuorigioco dell'Olanda.. l'Italia era troppo forte per non essere penalizzata nei modi più infami..
ma per piacere, l'Olanda poteva farne 4-5 in quella partita, ci hanno presi a pallonate dimostrando di essere nettamente superiori. Cerchiamo di essere un minimo obiettivi e non tifosi. Quell'Italia era sperimentale, avendo stravolto la rosa dopo la fallimentare spedizione dei mondiali del 74. Era nettamente inferiore all'Olanda e alla Polonia, in quegli anni tra le prime 4 squadre del mondo
