Steve was supposed to die in season one, or at least get taken off the show. But they were so impressed and taken by Joe’s performance that they decided to write him in. GOD, what a great choice. My favorite character in the show. His ad. Dustin’s bromance is one of my favorite things about Stranger Things

Steve is an example of a typical bully turning into one of the most redeemable characters. I’m proud of his growth throughout the seasons
He wasn't really that much of a bully though. He was popular, but that's not inherently the same thing. If you go back and watch, he's a little arrogant, sure, but still kind of a decent person. He never really does anything to anyone unprovoked, which is more typically what bullies do.
I would say he didn't go from "bully to redeemable", he was from "superficial to substance".

one thing i love more abt his character is, considering this is a world filled with monsters, you could see whenever he senses something dangerous he always picks up anything around him and uses it as a weapon while the typical characters just walks toward the scary noise

Steve's character development just shows you need to hang with the right people, cuz steve was always good, but his old friends brought the worst out of him

Not in season 4 she wasn't. It became unbearable how they made her character make jokes no matter how crazy the scenes were. Like there's a point where it becomes too much and gets cringe. She was okay in S3, but cartoonishly overkill in S4. Sorry but my opinion
Steve is such a lovable character, he was cast a bully, a person who always love Nancy, season 2 a brother to the group, season 3 the protector of the group and guardian. Season 4 a selfless hero, Steve is what character development done right 😊

The show is never going to end it’s never gonna go away it will always be a part of us all and I speak for all the people who love to watch the show and who love the characters
I never felt was interested in the show after Season 1, until Season 4 came out. And it reignited my love for the series. They really stepped it up for Season 4, and now the show holds a special place in my heart. Especially after watching episode 4, "Dear Billy"
Steve and Dustin are my favorite Characters on the Show. Joe is so handsome and talented. He is also charming and he is so cute playing Dad/Babysitter to to all the young kids.

@@yohansanchitha1018 I think it started with Nancy because remember when Nancy was looking for Barb and his former friends were teasing her, who that is, Steve was quick to dismiss their behaviour and asked them to tell her if they know. He also removed the painted "Nancy is a slut" on that cinema screening board. Nancy was the beginning and when he met the kids, his change in behaviour progressed.
Pretty sure he changed after the encounter with Jonathan and realising how mean his 2 friends were.
Pretty sure he didn't change for Nancy. He was in a bad company before and changed because of his friendship with Dustin and Robin.

I don't understand why do people call Steve a bully. C'mon he wasn't even close to one! He was arrogant but only when provoked. The only incidents he was like that was once regarding Jonathan and then Nancy. But Steve wasn't all wrong with his reaction towards Jonathan then, cuz he took pictures of Nancy almost undressing which was so creepy. Steve was so wrong in not stopping his friends insulting and writing names about her. But that doesn't make him a bully. He was hurt cuz Nancy being his gf, was literally hanging out with someone who stalked her. Steve even went to apologize if I remember it right later. He was just in a bad company.
Yeah, I read the same comments and was trying to remember him being a bully but you're right. Contrast that with the group of classmates in El's new school. Now THOSE are bullies.

Let's be honest, we all hated Steve in the first few episodes, but dayumm everything changed & hit on point when he started meeting Dustin and helped him and the rest facing demagorgons. It's so hard to pick on which character's the best. This is just the kind of series where you could feel the emptiness if one of 'em is missing or no longer around.

I can tell season 5 will be a very difficult battle, and someone is willing to make that sacrifice for the rest of the group's survival. I see this may happen to Steve, but it'll be worth it. Let's see how it goes till then.

I did too! More and more often I'm finding out that scenes I thought were filmed on location were really on a set. You wouldn't think it would be so difficult to film at an actual lake, but then weather, lighting, bugs, and temperature control all become issues.
These three, I want to be in a friends' group with the three of them.

It was in Joe Keery's contract that we wasn't allowed to cut his hair differently as long as he plays the character due the hairstyle being an integral part of his character..... Look who's got a haircut.

My parents were dead set on me and my cousin getting swim lessons when we were kids. I never appreciated it until I found out that a lot of kids don't really know how to swim, and this leads to drowning accidents. Which becomes worse every year.
