- Paragliding in Mexico has been dominated by a few spots for years, but there is a lesser-known spot that is much more accesible to a wider range of pilots; this is Colima! I've been coming here for years - it was the place I caught my first ever thermal! I've been back 7 times since and its the place where we teach XC clinics with The Paragliding Academy!

Was recently in Colima and did one flight. The local pilots apparently can make it almost to Guadalajara in the winter months. Thinking about going back. Nice little city too. Very scenic.

That would be amazing to go get some xc flights down there! I've never really flown xc while flying pg, just pretty much local mountains with the LZ in glide range.

Hope you can come to Tapalpa this year! It's only a 1 - 1:30 hour drive from Colima (crossing the volcano actually). Awesome XC conditions there too.
