i’ve never used time remapping like this I’m impressed. I may have to try and work with this more. Twixtor was always my answer for everything but this technique is something I was unaware of.
Remember also that not all active frames necessarily should be used, achieving perfect twixtor is generally hard aside from artifacts, because the motion between each active frame varies from the previous, hence, the stutters in the velocity of the movement even if the input framerate is correct. A good example of this is the painstaking hair of the girl from Kiznaiver in the first episode, the clip has a lot of active frames but in order to have smooth twixtor results you really need to be selective with the frames you feed to the plugin. That aside, I have also experimented with masking for twixtor and using tracking points, but frankly, they're just a waste of time unless the clip is full of warps or you just hate imperfections. Ultimately, the biggest and most reliable skill to work on with twixtor is your ability to work with time remapping, particularly in terms of timing and spacing, as if those aren't done properly then the movement won't look so good either. shameful to admit, but as an editor, twixtor is probably one of my favorite plugins. 💯

okay quick question, everytime i try ease on the key frame, whenever i try to align the lines the same it instead makes the graph box line smaller and so it doesnt really align the same way.

that's because your scene is terrible for twixtor, to not get warps, you need to find scenes that doesn't have alot of movements, preferably slo mo scenes in anime
I think putting key frame will reduce the Ram usage because when you cut every single frame and them pre compose it I think it'll use more Ram and CPU. This method and separating frames method aren't a lot different but this one is much more efficient. Thanks for the tip.
are you sure u have keyframed right at the start? Because what generally happens is that if you don't keyframe right at the beginning then the blacked out part also comes into the twixtored output

thanks that actually helped me a ton and now i can do twixtor better than before I appreciate that I think that if you ever an edit where the original clip is 60fps than you wouldnt need to utilize this method because I'd presume that each keyframe would be in constant motion without any stops unless it is really necessary depending on the scene otherwise I dont think so, but thanks anyways for this I really appreciate you simplifying this for me!
