Brilliantly remastered! Loved the fashions, interior decor, vintage cars, all of it. Not sure why the film would've been called The Flapper though as more a story rather than just flapper girls.
Even in B&W, Olive Thomas was outright beautiful. This helps. That she died so young, and so tragically, is an early tale of what Hollywood could do to people.

In 2016 I tried hand coloring The Flapper without AI, thank goodness I put it off and waited for the AI to get better. AI was horrible in 2016 and mis-colored 80%, I didn't think it could ever catch up it was that bad, still not as good as hand coloring standards but it's a huge improvement. I just wonder if or how AI could ever learn to accurately color paterns, clothes, and wallpaper, and intricate city scapes with ad and neon signs to 100% historic standards. No matter what setting I adjust it to, I still can't get AI to correctly color clothes and wallpaper and I have to hand color correct it myself with photoshop after spending hours researching textiles of the time period. (And why the hell can't AI color flowers right? What is with that? How can it mess up roses? It's roses, they're red! The flower glitch baffles me)
Can you pretty please colorize a Mary Pickford film like the newly found and restored Fanchon, it'll also make for easy non glitch AI coloring becuse the whole movie takes place outdoors in a forest and field (as you know AI colors outdoor scenery the best) The movie also is the only one to star all the Pickford siblings including Olive's husband Jack Pickford

@@cosmoduende I realize it would be expensive but what about getting voice actors to speak out the parts? I'm sure some lip-reading experts could figure out what they're saying. I actually think there would be a market for such a thing and maybe you could sell it and make a profit. I would buy it. I've been waiting for someone to do such a thing for about 5 years.
This is wonderful in many ways. AI coloring improves the film in my book. Very interested in 1920s culture. 100 years ago. Wow.
Amazing, right!
Olive was a beautiful girl Her strange death was so tragic 😢
This is how Olive Thomas should be seen. In flesh tone, the blush of youth on rosy cheeks, and lips of cherry wine.
That's right, a beautiful woman without a doubt.
Whoever brought this back to life with color, thank you sincerely on behalf of all of us

AI loves drab brown and green.
And purple seems to be over-dominant. Sometimes colourisation looks good other times it fails. Often best to leave it as originally photographed.
Flap on, flap off...the Flapper!
These films are like treasure. A window into the past.

The fact that they can make a casual joke about a wife beater tells me how prevalent the problem was in the past and how it was normalized 😞
People make casual jokes about wife beaters, rape and child sex abuse today. More than 100 years later, much remains the same.
NO Music 🎶🎵..?????😊
grace for this and for coloring this movie that maybe not much would see just because it is in black and white
Hehe thanks!
The lead actriz died by poison accident in the same year 1920. Very sad.
THANK YOU SOOOOOO
MUCH!!!!!!!!
Красивая актриса😍
Очень красиво!

Olive was beautiful. Her death was tragic and, unfortunately, we shall never know the true circumstances under which she died.

True, boy has it improved in less than 10 years. Currently there are more and more AI-based libraries and tools for coloring, better and better.

I take note, I look for it and I will be sharing the result, with great pleasure 😀
