Hello friends the rains have arrived and all friends and family have started asking 'Baarish Mein Kya Khayenge'. Yes friends for foodies like us the rains just tickle our taste buds and we just feel like hogging on something's that are hot or fried or spicy. So on this rainy day we decided to skip our regular monsoon favourites like samosas and bhajiyas and have some piping hot Soups and Starters, and how can one miss out on steaming hot Momos and my favourite Thukpa. So we decided to do some restaurant hopping and had the best of these. The Uncle's Kitchen restaurant has been serving Chinese delicacies since 1987 and I have been eating here since 1992. Surprisingly the taste of all the dishes continues to be the same even after 36 years. The prices are very reasonable and the quantity and quality is still excellent. My favourites here are the fantastic Soups And Starters that they serve. The owners are very sweet and humble. A special mention here to my old friends Sunny and Ronny who run this place and now Mervin who is Sunny's son has also joined them. So the third generation has stepped in and the legacy of Uncle's Kitchen continues.
After some great Chinese Soups And Starters we decided to visit Sernyaa, a small Tibetian restaurant in Malad West. Sernyaa serves the best Tibetan food in this part of Mumbai. The Momos And Thukpa are just great and so are the other Tibetian and Chinese dishes. They serve some great pork and lamb dishes too. The prices are reasonable and the the quality and quantity is also too good. This place is run by a 94 year old gentleman who is so sweet that you just feel like visiting this place again and again.
Now comes the time for everyone's favourite in the rains, garam garam Chai Nashta ❤️.
We visited Tea Pea cafe again in Malad West that serves a variety of tea's and coffee's along with some delicious accompaniments.
The ambience is soothing and the tea is delicious. They have free WiFi too. So you can visit this cafe and have a relaxing time.
