Veggies caused my rosacea and acne. As soon as I got rid of them and upped my fatty red meat, skin cleared and also became more plump. I glow now and I'm 35. Also, my PMS and insomnia went away completely. So I'm basically doing the opposite of what this guest recommends 😂
As someone who had a decade of antibiotics from age 3-13 and am still fixing my gut, I would suggest that you gut is messed up. Fixing it would improve your overall health and likely allow to you tolerate plants (which have benefits for many).
On CR vs fasting suggest research from Lamming Lab (and ARDD talks). Seems that they overlap but also affect different genes. My view is that very mild DR combined with TRE makes sense as there are other lines of study which suggest TRE improves various health parameters. Dr Courtney Peterson is an expert on TRE having done research in this area over a number of years. She would be a great guest.
I agree with you. DR seems to be necessary. But I also think that the general nutritional recommendations require a massive update. They're just mostly off... TRE makes logical sense, considering the light pattern and hormonal cycles. Thanks for the tips - I'll check everything out!
Regarding skin creams, everytime I have skin rash or something that looks like fungus, it's cured after a single day with using either olive oil or black nigella seed oil, so it's really not that complicated to cure skin issues in many instances.
How come athletes or bodybuilders who exercise and eat high protein diets do not see increase in cancer ? Goes to show you that acute bumps in mtor doesnt equal long term side effect.
Any comments on the TRIM Studies where Rejuevanting the THYMUS may lead to Longevity benefits? They were able to replicate the impressive results from the first study and have more studies planned. seems to dovetail with your topic of immune system and longevity .
That's interesting. In this study, they indeed reversed several aging markers in humans, and they observed an increase in FGF‐21 levels, which Dr. Kaeberlein also mentioned. However, they used Metformin (calorie restriction mimetic) and DHEA too. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6826138/
Thank you for the comment. While mTOR (mechanistic Target of Rapamycin) research has been around for some time, it continues to be a a key protein and pathway in the human body that regulates cell proliferation and survival - hence the key role in aging. I'll definitely keep featuring diverse experts for a broader perspective.
@@Roberto-cg2gr sure. Autophagy, cell renewal, immunity benefits, reversible etc. but it’s not necessary to be high continuously for a healthy individual.
After watching hours of these types of videos, it comes to light that the human body is too complex to truly understand. Do not eat man-made foods, keep sugars down, including fruits, to a low number, and exercise to some degree. That's all we can do folks... lol
Excellent conversation, thank you!! I so agree about the tracking!! I've been using Cronometer religiously (virtually every morsel that goes into my mouth) for over 3 years and LOVE doing so!! It truly is eye-opening for learning portions as Matt said - plus knowing what I'm getting, both micro & macro, have helped me cut out some supplements because with the info I get from tracking, I know what I may be lacking, and then make an effort to tweak my diet to get those nutrients from food - it's a fun challenge for me!!
Matt, you say that we know that whole vegetables are good for health. What is your scientific basis? I have demonstrated that eating vegetables is derogatory and contra-indicated.
Hey, what a coincidence - I have an interview coming up next week about dopamine and food addiction. We don't discuss ADHD but it's relevant for that, too! And this topic is great. I'll add that to the list. Thanks for the request, and have a great day 😊
She's AMAZING, her knowledge floores me along with her skill to communicate ❤. Eyes mind heart and soul wide open. NO FEAR !❤. Decentralization is coming ❤. !

Same girl.. Plants mostly make me sick, inflamed, and fatigued. And eating meat usually solves it.

My favourite anti-aging Doc interviewed by the alluring host. Great interview. What about Dr Valter Longo ?
Dr. Kaeberlein is great. Thanks for the comment.
How come athletes or bodybuilders who exercise and eat high protein diets do not see increase in cancer ? Goes to show you that acute bumps in mtor doesnt equal long term side effect.
I think it's the frequency of eating more than the amount or protein you eat.
@@iaminkaland lol ... They eat like hogs every day ..

What is the effect of low GKI in health span
Low GKI has beneficial effects, especially in cases of cancer. I have an episode coming out about this today!

I have ADHD a no carbohydrate diet works wonders.
@@Tom-ye5dn, what diet are you on? lion or carnivore? This is interesting.

What is the effect of very low visceral fats in health spans
On diet in humans you might look at work of long term researchers Gary Fraser and Walter Willet.
Thanks for this.
I would be interested if he also addressed longevity/lifespan effects of multi-day fasting.
I've understood there's not much difference between daily TRE vs. longer fasts. But could be wrong.
