Today I'm playing Hartmann's Youkai Girl ON PIANO...but it's the arrangement from Touhou 14.5! It's fast-paced, aggressive and overall chaotic. And of course, I also add some parts that make it even MORE chaotic! This version of the theme was also one of the reasons for the "Koishi popularity era" in the fandom, something that I'm quite fond of. I remember when she beat Reimu in that one character poll from 2015. Good times.

You can tell he's really hammering on that piano because the Koishi statuette can't help but dance a little bit.

How do you actually have good muscle memorie and keep track of what your playing?
I literally play it A LOT. Like, many many times. I mean, technically that's how you build muscle memory :)
Think of it like playing a game, for example defeating a Dark Souls boss or something. When you play the same thing for hours and memorize the patterns, you'll eventually master it. Some people may memorize faster than others, but time is not an important factor here. It's more of a "I'm determined to learn this" situation :)
@@ViddyWellSA11 Thanks, my piano teacher also said that, but also is it the same thing with reading piano notes? Because i'm really slow at reading notes.
@@TypeNPC Personally I think that the way you approach a piece of music (whether by ear or reading sheets) is not that important if you REALLY want to learn the piece. I never use sheets, but obviously tons of other musicians do. I believe in time you'll develop enough skill that you'll be able to read notes faster and focus on other aspects of the piece :)
