I'm a female geek. I have some tips:
1. Hygiene. If you don't take care of this step you automatically lose.
2. Haircut and facial hair. Go to a good barber. Let them make some suggestions for for face/head shape/age. Only agree to a style you will maintain.
3. Develop a sense of style that works for you AND is attractive to the opposite sex. Women are visual too. Stop wearing reference t-shirts 75% of the time or dressing like a middle school boy.
4. Develop some type of lifestyle change for your physical fitness. Not just for the women but for yourself too.
5. Have a real world hobby. One that isn't staring at a screen. This will help you meet people, adds depth to your character, opens you up to different people and experiences. You'll have more to show for your time.
I'm a bit of a a female geek too, I totally agree with you. Alot of men make their whole life revolve around one certain thing and it can be hard to have an actual conversation about something other that that peculiar thing. Many of these guys arent outcasts just people who are socially awkward and need to learn how to have good communication skills. If they took care of themselves I can guarantee they wouldn't be outcasts and will fit in more.

Recovering ex-brony here, and yeah these ppl scared me away from labelling myself as such. I watched it because I was a suicidal 12 yo with sleep paralysis and prior to discovering mlp I used to watch little einstein in the middle of the night so I was sound enough of mind to sleep. Girls made fun of me, but after getting to know me on top of me owning being a brony despite knowing the potential social suicide that comes with it, they digged me. As a geek, I'm telling you right now maintain your hygiene, get some money, work on your body, and get a little bit of style. That will increase your confidence by leaps and bounds. Then work on creating a safe and comfortable environment for women (i.e. get your own place that's clean and cozy). Finally, have a calm/relaxing interaction and you'll have a shot with almost any woman that you're interested in.

As a nerd, once I realized that the 'friendzone' isn't a thing and that rejection was survivable, my interactions with women changed completely.
The friendzone is a thing. I just wouldn't say it's applicable to what happened to him. If you develop genuine romantic feelings for your friend that's unreciprocated then that's the friendzone. If you are just vibing with someone and interested in dating them but they just end up wanting to be friends that's something different.

Exactly. I like video games, I like movies, I like TV shows. I watch a lot of UA-cam as well. But I take care of myself. I'm in the gym 5 days a week, I work, I'm in college, I have a car, etc. Being 6'5" and having a conventionally attractive face doesn't hurt my chances either but it's not necessary for the average man. I keep the video games and the movies and shit I like to do to RELAX to the night time when I'm at home just chilling before I go to sleep. The thing these people like dude in the video lack, is self control. They can't control how much they eat, play video games, watch anime, or buy stupid nick nacks. They have no discipline to get their shit together and better themselves. Weak af my guy. Much of this stems from lack of fathers in the home OR weak fathers.
